Our family took the two-hour ride and LOVED it! Simply beautiful views and scenery along the way. The guided ride took us near Deer Mountain and included some local lore and interesting facts of the mountain and it’s trees along the way. The ride is slow and very peaceful. Maddie was our guide who also recommended sights to see inside RMNP, as well as many great eateries in Estes Park. The trail was very dusty; I would wear a bandana.

We had a great ride and our guide was knowledgeable and very encouraging as this ride is very rocky. The horses are well cared for and sure-footed. I felt very confident in their ability and was able to enjoy the amazing view!

Jackson Stables at the YMCA was a great experience. Everything about it was just amazing. There are plenty of options to choose from in terms of length of rides and if you have more experience I would definitely recommend taking one of the longer ones. We took the 4 hour ride which includes plenty of trotting. On this ride we saw plenty of wildlife and some really beautiful scenery. Wranglers were friendly and informative, while also making sure we were comfortable and safe, especially around some bull elk we saw right at the rest stop. Horses were awesome, very responsive and the barn was very well kept and well organized. Overall, awesome experience and would definitely recommend.
