Being able to observe a family of 16 + chimpanzees interacting with each other and having one walk just is a truly surreal experience. Finding the troop was not a given as they move continuously in their search for food. Our rangers had to double back and search a different area before we had the good fortune to come across the family. The trek was not difficult but be ready for it to take longer than stipulated. At the end of the day, being able to spend time with these highly intelligent and human creatures was worth it all. Highly recommended regardless if you are a nature lover or otherwise

We were able to customize an 11 day tour through western Uganda and Rwanda, and to say that it was spectacular is an understatement! From the moment we landed, we connected with our guides Sedrick and Ben, and in Rwanda, Godfry, and had a blast. We were able to see some of the most incredible species on this planet, getting up close and personal to chimpanzees and the legendary Gorillas of Bwindi. We were able to stay with local families and interact with the communities through which we traveled. Through all of this, our guides became our friends, talking to us about the culture and way of life of the people while playing cards and dancing. A wonderful experience from start to finish!

Okay this is unbelievable, i always wanted to go to Africa in style and then i heard some bad news about the mosquitoes and stuff but i wanted to try anyways, so i got to meet Ruth, the operations manager and she got everything done in just a little time, when we began our expedition my guide Sam told me that the loads of mosquitoes was a misconception , there are mosquitoes but not killer ones, all i'm saying is, my trip and everything wouldn't have been so memorable if it wasn't for this organization

This company is really AMAZING! I had a few days leave from my work in Juba and I managed to organize this wonderful tour with this company. On the admin end, the person that I dealt with (Patrick) was expedient in his replies and very clear in his directions on what was available and how to pay; he even responded to emails that I wrote on weekends! As for the tour itself, my driver and guide, Eddie, was amazing. Due to the covid crisis (I am vaccinated and Eddie was super responsible), we had to drive from Kampala to Bwindi vs. from Kigali (As Rwanda had closed its borders). This meant an 8 hr car ride each way. While this was long, Eddie was a great guide pointing out lots of things about Uganda and its history; he was just a great companion all around. The lodgings themselves outside of Bwindi national Forest were incredible with views of the forest itself. As for the gorillas, the company yet again delivered and I was able to spend a good hour very close to a gorilla family (max 10 ft away). To say that my guide went above and beyond is an understatement; not only was he a great guide but he even helped to drop me off to get my covid test so that I could return to South Sudan. I would recommend this company without any reservation!!!

My son and I spent two weeks experiencing the magic that is Uganda and we will never forget our time there. Truly a priceless experience. I could talk about those experiences for pages -- the friendly people, the beautiful Nile River where we did whitewater rafting, the two lions we saw in a tree, the elephant who told us to back-off a bit, the chimpanzee group w/whom we spent a morning, and the majestic mountain gorillas who let us into their community for a visit. And on and on. I am so fortunate that I found Nkuringo Walking Safaris. I worked closely w/the owner, Lydia, to prepare a schedule that was custom made for me and my son. She was a pleasure to work with and did not get flustered even when I had to change the whole itinerary at the last minute. Then there was Jack who was our fearless guide throughout our trip. A true animal lover, Jack had an encyclopedic knowledge of Uganda's wildlife. He was professional, responsive, and fun to be around. A great navigator! And I cannot forget Jackie and Catherine, who introduced us to the delicious Rolex in Entebbe. They were a pleasure! An all-round terrific organization w/outstanding people, I cannot recommend Nkuringo Safaris enough!
