Only take 10 minutes drive form campsite we found this little gem, this Cove was beautiful and the water was crystal clear, my family really enjoyed being here. According to Wiki that Agatha Christie wrote one of the scenes from this Cove (ABC Murders). Anyway worth visit while you are in the area.

Small stretch of shingle beach overlooking Torbay. Great for rock pooling. Good public toilets (open in Summer). Great friendly cafe. Access to cliff top walks. Back drop of the Osborne , a crescent georgian hotel. Parking available for beach on road and in small carpark.
Meadfoot is a great place to sit and enjoy a coffee at the beach cafe (which is great) and watch the sea and the waves . We always call while walking to Torquay over the cliff path en route from Babbacombe and Wellswood. Love it.

Fantastic little beach with attractive shop/cafe, rocks to climb on one side, breakwater to walk down the other with views over Brixham harbour. Great place to spend the early evening, especially if you like skimming stones, as the small flat pebbles are made for it.

Beautiful views across Torbay, with good quality access and approach under the railway viaduct, and a large car park with very reasonable parking charges. Pleasant beachside cafe/coffee shop with very friendly staff who could not have been any more helpful. Take a little walk round and up onto the beautiful headland where it opens out into a large common, which is just the happiest place for dogs! The beach promenade is also easy to access for anyone who might struggle with steps (and wheelchair users, parents with prams etc) as the route from the car park to the promenade is level and well-surfaced. There are plenty of public benches both around the promenade and on the common beyond.

Check out tide times first, then plan lovely walk up and down Paignton/Preston sands. All level of course, and well resourced by such as fantastic Paignton Pier Chippie and Geo Park Cafe. Great facilities for children too,

If you can handle the climbs and descents to get to this little treasure of a spot it is well worth it. It would make a great place to go snorkelling, sadly the weather was not on our side when we were there. Crystal clear waters, and wildlife in the shape of various sea birds and seals can be spotted.
