From Skelwith Bridge follow the footpath round Loughrigg Tarn to the Grasmere road and then take the footpath on the right to Loughrigg Terrace where you are rewarded with a panoramic view over Grasmere. There is a path down to the waterside but continue on the terrace down to the waterside path round Rydal Water. When you come to the road turn right and follow the road by the river until it turns sharply left at which point leave the road and climb up a steep path to the shoulder of Loughrigg whence the path goes all the way back down to Skelwith. The”Loughrigg Round” is an excellent half day’s walk.

Absolutely love this walk! It's a must for people who aren't as athletic and still want to experience the beauty and the views of the lakes, it's just a short walk from windermere and only takes you about 30 minutes to get the top! Which didn't take me long! absolutely breath taking views and a lovely pub just a short walk from it ????

Fabulous rocky outcrop that invites you to do a bit of "lite" climbing and jumping from rock to rock (this was more fun in my 20s than in my late 50s) Stunning views along the coastline and can walk back to Lynton/ Lynmouth from here to get the most of the scenery

Running for almost a mile along the border of Victoria Park (home to the Southport Flower Show) this delightful floral border is kept in all it’s glory by an enthusiastic group of volunteers who must be commended. Drive, or better still walk, down to appreciate this magnificent free show.

We came for a day out to celebrate my partner's 30-something birthday and what a day! From my 39 to our youngest girl's 4 years, there was something to interest, even fascinate, all of us. The kids loved the cable car, Punch and Judy show and playgrounds, while us grown ups were fascinated by the history of the park and the cave tour; your guide Graham is a real asset to the place, knowledgeable and informative, but really laid back and funny. We can't wait to come back with the remaining younger manners of your little clan. The only bitter taste was left by the council car park whose ticket machines are cash-only and there's no option to pay by phone as is the norm elsewhere these days. Other than that one single gripe, The Heights of Abraham is a fabulous day out. Thank you!

Just a short walk from home this is a fantastic location for leisure visits for all the family. Lots of trails for all and just fantastic views, the choice of entry routes is endless, we often walk along the canal and then into seven springs before heading to Marquis Drive or Birches Valley, just the tip of what this area has to offer

Sunny September Sunday leisurely stroll along the river wensum in Norwich. We were staying at the Maids Head hotel and wanted to walk down to Carrow road football ground. We started our walk (pub crawl) at the ribs of beef pub walking past St James mill, Cow Tower, Pulls Ferry with our next stop at the Red Lion pub which is right on the river. Carry on down the river to The Compleat Angler pub and cross over the bridge so you are opposite the train station, lovely walk past the riverside entertainment centre, plenty of places to eat and drink here and on the opposite side of the bank is beautiful old mill looking buildings it’s very interesting. Eventually to come across Carrow Road football ground the home of Norwich City. We turned around at this point and on the way back up the riverside we visited the beautiful pub called The Adam and Eve and the Wig and Pen before turning off the riverbank at Wensum Street. Walk is leisurely 6.5km and took us around 4 hours, so a really good walk (as long as the weather is kind to you) Totally recommend if you are staying in Norwich.

This area is home to an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants.
Unlike walking through the high streets for window shopping, this area provides visitors more fun as shops are close and lanes are narrow only one person can pass through at a time in many occasions, so the excitement is high. It's not a small maze to most unless you are familiar with each lane and corner by identifying the shops and benchmarks. Without visiting The Lanes, your trip to Brighton is not complete.

This 5-mile section of coast from White Nothe to Warbarrow Bay contains beaches, ecology, geology and beautiful walks.
We stayed in our campervan at Durdle Door to see the sights. Not knowing or having researched the area at all I am so very glad we took the walk to Lulworth Cove. Fantastic walk over the hills and down into the village below.Such stunning scenery, you really can not fail to be blown away by the beauty. We were pretty lucky that we had a relatively nice day and the visibility was good. We walked over to the Stair hole area and looked at the fascinating geological marvels of this coastline. The variety of rock formations and how nature has carved it's beauty in such wonderful ways. It has such diverse rock formations and as you carry on towards the headland the beauty of Lulworth cove becomes more evident with each step! Such beautiful views and we wish we had more hours in the day so we could have explored the fossil forest but will have to return to discover more. The village itself is lovely and extremely picturesque with a lovely little mill pond, leading to a stream, leading to the beach. Plenty of places to eat and drink and a lovely welcoming little place. So glad we made the visit!
