Manarat Al Saadiyat is the first art and culture centre of the Saadiyat Cultural District, the future home of Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Meaning "Place of Enlightenment" in Arabic, Manarat Al Saadiyat offers a wide variety of exhibitions, performances, productions, conferences, talks and workshops throughout the day and all year-round. From the Manarat Al Saadiyat plaza visitors can admire the Norman Foster-designed UAE Pavilion, home to Abu Dhabi Art, which takes place every November. At Manarat Al Saadiyat visitors can also enjoy a gift shop and FANR restaurant.
I LOVE this space. I have been here for art shows, exhibits and movie screenings. Manarat al Saadiyat is a gorgeous exhibition space on Saadiyat Island complete with a lush green outdoor eatery that allows for a leisurely and delicious meal. It's an expansive space that showcases a great deal of local/historical work and artists. One of the things I appreciate most is the location. It is outside of the city and therefore has a very relaxed vibe. From here you can hop over to the Louvre as well (via taxi) to continue to get your arts and culture fix. This is a fantastic venue.
