Our whole family 8 of us had the time of our lives. The picture perfect scenery, highly educated and experienced guides and the most beautiful, friendly Alaskan huskies were the highlights. The grounds are very well maintained and the property was set up so well for these dog sledding tours. They have a rental shop for items you may need or want along with a great apparel section. We would go back in a heart beat. Amazing job Chilly Dogs!

The Trezona Trail is a 4 mile, paved walking trail around Miner's Lake in beautiful Ely, MN. Walking this trail brings you close to both nature and history as you walk past old mine sites with educational material provided along the trail. North American Bear Center

The North American Bear Center is the only educational facility of its kind - it helps people learn from the bears themselves about bear behavior, ecology, and their relations with humans. There is a huge need for accurate information about bears worldwide and the mission of the non-profit North American Bear Center is to advance the long-term survival of bears worldwide by replacing misconceptions with scientific facts about bears.

A recent trip to Ely led us to the Bear Center, which is truly an outstanding place to visit. The exhibits are well done and the staff was helpful and informative. The highlight, however, are the resident bears. So glad we got to take the behind the scenes tour. Definitely recommend this for any age group.

Whenever we come to the area we usually make this hike. Summer and winter both! It is not too difficult but has some minor challenges. The waterfall is beautiful and you can play in the cool water in summer months. Winter has special beauty.

This is a mostly flat trail that is accessible for most people (the trail includes a lot of roots, rocks, and wooden boardwalks). The payoff is a grand view of Kawishiwi Falls. The views are gorgeous and well-worth the short hike.
