Metronome is a national centre for music, moving image, video games, live performance and spoken word based in Nottingham. Anchored around a 400-capacity (228 seated) venue, Metronome delivers an ambitious, diverse and contemporary cross-media programme.
I went in Feb and it was an evening show, in the city you can imagine panicking at the thought of having to queue in the cold and dark!! But metronome let every attender wait inside for the gig, I’m not sure if this happens with every event as this was my first one, but it made the night so much more stress free. The building is beautiful inside and the actual gig room is ideal, it’s intimate and you’re right next to the artist. My only issue was that the signing for the band was after the show, and with long queues it can be difficult to know exactly what time you’re leaving, which might be difficult if you’re getting a bus/train back. Nevertheless, I can’t wait for an artist I like to go to metronome again, it’s become one of my favourite venues just from that one night.

Watched many shows here from adult to panos with kids. Always enjoyed the shows and staff are usually great. although at the last one january(peterpan) the stuard declinded us to go into bar area 15 mins before show started and said we needed to go and get seated and she wasn’t pleasant. drinks are a little pricey and small bar gets really busy.
