What a fun trip. We had a walk all around the harbour to Southwold & took this small little ferry back to Walberswick. Great fun & easier than walking back !!! Dog Friendly

Pull's Ferry

Reviewed By johnhouston2 - Knaresborough, United Kingdom

Now a private house, the watergate at Pull’s Ferry was once home of John Pull, who was the ferryman here. The arched watergate actually dates from medieval times, but the adjoining house is of a later date. Although effectively within the city centre, this is a beautiful, peaceful spot and with the colour and shape of the riverside house and the verdant trees, it’s like something from a Constable painting. Absolutely delightful.

Harwich Harbour Foot Ferry

Foot and Bicycle Ferry connecting Harwich, Shotley and Felixstowe since 1912.

Reviewed By stingytownman - Huntingdon, United Kingdom

Took a trip from Harwich to Felixstowe on this nice little boat. It leaves 10 past every hour going out and picks up half past every hour coming back the trip takes fifteen minutes and lands you on the beach at Felixstowe close to the Languard Fort which is definitely worth a visit. The trip takes you very close to the big ships of the container port which I found fascinating. Definitely worth going out of your way to use the little boat though parking can be s big difficult in Harwich.
