You've probably heard that Guinness tastes better in Dublin (fresh from the factory), but what you may not know is that Dublin is a perfect destination for the whole family. No, we're not suggesting you let the kiddies drink a pint. Instead, take them to the Dublin Zoo, to feed the ducks in Stephen's Green or on a picnic in Phoenix Park. Scholars enjoy walking in the literary footsteps of such writers as Yeats and Joyce, while discerning shoppers have their pick of designer boutiques.

Located in Dublin’s historic Liberties, Pearse Lyons Distillery, Dublin’s only boutique distillery, is a five-minute walk from The Guinness Storehouse. Nestled in the former Church of St. James, this distillery has a colourful history dating back to the 12 Century. On tour of the distillery and surrounding graveyard, guests are introduced to the compelling characters from Dublin’s famous distilling and brewing district. This district, rich in culture and tradition, was once a place of booming industry known as The Golden Triangle. The Pearse Lyons Distillery produces some of Ireland’s finest small batch Irish whiskies and celebrates the Irish tradition of storytelling on each guided tour. Guests enjoy a sensory experience as they are brought through the distilling process, before enjoying whiskey and gin tastings at our tasting bar. All booklets, interactives and welcome video are translated in seven languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Portuguese)
Surprisingly this must see attraction isn't included on the Dublin Pass list. Like other reviewers we received free entry after purchasing a ticket upgrade for one of the bus tours. The staff were, in our case Emma and David, were both extremely enthusiastic in sharing their in-depth knowledge of the business and brand. The standard of renovation to the church is stunning and seeing two copper stills where the altar would normally be is pretty quirky to say the least! At the end of the tour/tasting the tea rooms are just as impressive with more friendly service and tasty cakes. Overall a fantastic visit offering a far more interesting experience than some of the better known brands.

Located in the heart of the Liberties, Roe & Co Distillery welcomes you to explore the art of blending through fun and flavours. Throughout your tour you'll be taken through the art of distilling and blending while being guided by our expert bartenders to deliver a world class cocktail experience suited to your personal taste.
Carl with a K, who will be known as Karl from here on out, gave us a great tour today. Very knowledgeable, full of jokes and definitely the skinniest jeans on tour make Karl the perfect guide to take you through the history of Roe and Co. Would recommend Karl to anyone thinking of taking the tour.

Since John Jameson's brave first steps into this building in 1780, we've been focused on his ambition to create unforgettable experiences (along with great whiskey, of course). The new look Jameson Distillery Bow St. carries on this ambition through five fully guided experiences: Bow St. Experience Distillery Tour, Premium Whiskey Tasting, Whiskey Blending Class, Whiskey Cocktail Making Class, and a Cask Draw Experience in Dublin's only Live Maturation Warehouse - all of which have a firm focus on immersive storytelling. You'll be invited to touch, smell, and most importantly, taste Jameson in the original Bow St. Distillery buildings. Stay to enjoy the World’s Leading Distillery Tour at this historical landmark and tribute to the craft of Irish whiskey making!
