Shelley Theatre is the theatre on the Bournemouth clifftop you probably never knew about. We are a 150 seated theatre and provide a variety of entertainment for all tastes. We have: comedy nights; film; live music; performance and dance. The theatre was built in the 1860s by the famous Shelley family, intended to be the home of Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein. Today our whole aim is to bring people and performance together, whilst renovating the theatre and additional spaces at the same time. Our Cafe is open during the week from Monday to Friday (10:30 am to 3.30pm) so if it's using the Wi-Fi or catching up with friends and family, the doors are open for you. Come and see how we're bringing this historic building back to life. We look forward to seeing your soon.
The vwellcome and enthusiasm of the staff (mainly volunteers) is second to none. The knock on effect from this is that the performers will frequently mingle with the audience during intervals and after the performances. Consequently the audience tend to be very relaxed and good company talking with each other as if old friends. The variety of shows is incredibly varied to cover all tastes.

Just had to let people know how much we enjoyed the Sunday session last week. This open mic event takes place roughly once a month to showcase local musicians who just turn up and play. We had 3 hours of enjoyment being entertained by a wide variety of acts, all of which we enjoyed. The young lady who played the cello deserves a special mention as she was particularly good and has a brilliant voice as well as being a great musician. Thanks also to the nice lady behind the bar. No to be missed if you're in town.

We are located in one of Portland's Old Methodist Churches. The Church was transformed to a wonderful Theatre by many Volunteers. The Royal Manor Theatre Company is a registered charity run by volunteers, and all profits go into maintaining the building. We show many plays throughout the year, as well as external performers, quiz nights, live music and a 4K Cinema

Welcome to Black Cherry Company whose aim is to get people fizzing with excitement about the wonder of film and theatre.
Fabulous night with Black Cherry at the Lighthouse, Poole. Came along for the first time on Valentines night to see you, it will definitely not be my last. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and admire your ability and talent to be able to provide skits 'off the cuff'. If you haven't yet seen their show, I urge you to do so, you will not be disappointed. You could go every night for a week and you will not see the same show as this is audience participation and skits made around audience suggestions - love it love it love it, thank you x
