Films are great aren’t they? Everyone loves a good movie, whatever a ‘good movie’ means to them. The Northern Light Cinema aims to put the fun back in film, making a trip to the flicks not just about watching great movies but about having a great night out. To compliment our range of films, our bar serves a great range of beers, wines and spirits. All served to help wash down the range of Mediterranean-inspired food, perfectly sourced and presented. All this, tucked away in the old Malthouse on North End, here in Wirksworth, the hidden gem of the Peak District. The Northern Light Cinema – doing films differently.
We had pizza and wine before watching the film. The whole experience was fabulous. Super place and super staff. Thank you very much.

Just went to see the Italian film Pinocchio, as Quad re-opens after lockdown. Great film in a great venue that has made all arrangements to make the visit secure. Don't be put off, go and support this great Derby venue.

Very nice, historic picture house, which in the past featured in some top tv-shows. Good value prices, compared to your mega cinemas, shows the latest films. Worth a visit.

My visit to Odeon Derby in October was a typically easy access to ticket machine and submitting parking details all in a covid controlled environment very well supported by the staff, comfy viewing of what became my last film before Tier 4 and lockdown 2021 began, looking forward to returning.

Fab little cinema, always friendly staff, always clean, and has a variety of different films on to watch. Food and drinks are expensive but that's the same as any cinema now really, but they do different deals on with a drink and a popcorn or hot dog, nachos etc. Has kids films on that aren't showing any more but are still. recent when it's the kids holidays, for a heavily discounted price, booster seat for the kids too. Fab place. :)
