A great starting point to knowing New Castle. There's an eight-minute film giving an overview of the town, and the docent there was knowledgeable and gave brochures and maps. Bathrooms available. NPS passport stamp available near cashier. Recommended.

Europe's motorways (and Italy's in particular) boast the nicest rest stops in the world. But this one is clearly the best of the best in the USA. Easy to access from either side of I-95, this rest area clearly has it all. Lots of shopping, tons of eateries, clean rest rooms and a huge open area for gathering, eating or just relaxing on your journey. Check the Pret a Manger in the corner for a delicious and wholesome sandwich that is a huge cut above the fast food options. Stop on you way to wherever you're going.
