Romme Alpin is a ski resort, only 2,5 hours from Stockholm city. We have 33 runs and 13 lifts. Our pistenbullies prepare ur runs to perfection every night. Our Ski Lodge is a ski in- ski out hotel with 169 rooms, restaurant, relax area, sauna and gym. For all the kids we have several playrooms. We have a modern ski rental building, ski shop and free parking. During the season we have bustrips from many cities around Sweden, for example, Stockholm, Uppsala, Västerås and Enköping. Note! During the 20/21 season SkiPasses must be pre-booked in advance.
Travelling from Copenhagen then we have been skiing in several of the skiing resorts in the area - and we prefer Romme. The area is of a good size for a few days of skiing, everything running smoothly from liftcards to restaurants and it is simply just a pleasure to visit. It might not offer sufficient challenge to really experienced skiers, but for danes, then it is great.

Our guests appreciate our long, wide and beautifully groomed slopes. There is plenty of space and no queues. The size of the ski area also means that the slopes stay in excellant condition throughout the day. All slopes finish in the same place, which means that everyone can ski/ride their favourite run and then meet up at the bottom of the slope. Here you will also find 48 km of cross-country ski trails that meander around the cottage area and prepared up the mountain. Whether you are a beginner or an expert skier, snowboarder, telemarker or cross-country skier, there is something for everyone here. Fjätervålen is also a favourite training and race arena for many alpine clubs. There are 3 FIS Giant Slalom, Slalom and Super G runs. Fjätervålen has held the GS Swedish Championships several times. Welcome!

Housed at the Wasa Fjällgård Hotel in Salen, I dedicated the 24th of December to the ice rink, Skistar Salen. Quite close to Salen, it was easy to find a house that provided us with all the equipment to practice Ski for a very reasonable price. Arriving to sky lane and equipped, we climbed the elevators and tried to give the least number of falls, even in the easier lane. It's "painful" to see 3/4 year old kids passing us by at speed .... We ended up sore and hungry at Mac Donalds. Great Day !!

It's July so there's no skiing for us. The mix of hiking trails close to the various skiing areas offers a nice mix variety of paths suitable for inexperienced and serious hikers. There are also plenty of trails suitable for cross country and downhill cyclists. But that's got nothing to do with how we ended up in Hundfjallet today. As regular Pokemon Go players we've been shocked at the lack of pokestops and absence of gyms in Lindvallen. Hundfjallet more than made up for this with at least 5 gyms and 10 stops starting in the car park and then winding up through the entertaining Trollskogen. Trollskogen has numerous carvings, displays and decorated trees. Many are troll based with fun scenes and some audio (Swedish only). In the winter this would be fun for kids and big kids to ski down. If you've ever skied in the Björnen area of Åre then you'll have some idea of what to expect. Whilst the area is very quiet at this time of year there is a waffle cafe at the foot of the trail that is open until 4.00 p.m.
