Amazed by the elegance of tea culture, Yu Lin Xin is formed by a group of tea enthusiasts in the spring of 2007. Every selection of tea represents our dedication, passion and devotion for Taiwan tea. Only the finest plantation is chosen for being regular supplier, who requires to respect the environment, meet the safety and health standards, no forced labor and so on.
Of all the tea shops we visited on Yangkang Street (and, for that matter, in Taiwan), this was among the best. The people working at the shop were extremely helpful and gracious, and the Sun Moon Lake black tea is the best we bought in Taiwan (we bought a LOT, including at Sun Moon Lake). We only wish we could order more, but it doesn't seem to be available online!

The best thing about 3 leafs is that you get to know the person behind the brand. If you’re looking for the best gift to bring home to your family and friends, here’s the place. Nancy truly has a love for the tea community and you should hear her story - it’ll move you! On a personal note, I’ve attended 2 tea tasting workshops held at 3 leafs and Nancy does solid work in lesson preps. Her engaging personality makes this subject matter come alive! The sort of connections you establish with the others participants is the sort that makes you want to return for more. I’ve also tried their lunch pop-up on an occasion with my boyfriend! We both really enjoyed the food! I think it’s a great choice if you have a large party cus Nancy handles all private events personally and you can make sure that all your needs are met :)

Oolong has been cultivated on Dong Ding Mountain as early as the mid-19th century, when local villagers started harvesting “qing xin oolong" in preference to the native “wild tea”. By this time, the Chen family of Yoshan Tea were already knee-deep in their exploration of Taiwanese oolong. It is now Yoshan Tea’s mission to preserve and continue the art of making this classic tea.

The Wistaria teahouse is a real treasure in the Taipei Tea Scene. The first step into the small courtyard with the Koi pond and the green plante takes you already out of big City Stress and into the calm atmosphere of tea. There was no free space in the tatami room, so we stayed in the room with tables and chairs. It's a beautiful room with a strong positive atmosphere. One tea in the menu was more appealing than the next - which made the choice real hard. An interesting Pu er selection, cliff teas and of course different kinds of Oolongs were waiting to be discovered. We decided to go first with the aged Shui Xian. If you don't know about tea preparation, the stuff is going to introduce you. We had about 11 brews of that tea and it was still tasty. With every brew the charcoal taste vanished and fruity notes appeared. Good choice for cold days or to find relief from running thoughts. Second we chose a Pu er: Tze Ping (2003). What to say about... ?! The tea was calming, surprisingly fresh in taste, wonderful honeyredbrown colour. The tea made my whole body smile. I had never found so much Qi in any Pu er as in this one. Thank you, Wistaria, for this perfect afternoon. We will come back!
