The Cyclades is a group of Greek islands with beautiful, white sandy beaches, rugged mountains and lush valleys. Glamorous Santorini and Mykonos attract the jetset, while lesser-known isles, such as Milos and Naxos, are the perfect places for beach lovers. Ruins, including the 11th-century Dorian settlement and volcanic ash-preserved Ancient Akrotiri in Santorini, amaze those with a bent for ancient history. Sifnos' cuisine wins it admirers. Hydrofoils, ferries and catamarans connect the islands.

I frequent bookstores when I travel, and this unique venue did not disappoint! Descending the curved, carved staircase, you are greeted with a hobbit-hole type door, and the store opens up behind it. Strewn with books, and decorated with quotes on the furniture, walls and ceiling, you can find real gems! Books are one of my souvenirs from my travels, and Hemingways favorite book, James Joyce’s The Dead (as it was advertised in this store) was one of my takeaways from this charming stop on Santorini. Take your reading material of choice to the rooftop reading room for a relaxing view of the caldera and natural light to enjoy your read!

The window displays caught my eye, so I came in and wound up buying a beautiful set of rings made by a Greek artist. They had really unique pieces, and the gentleman that helped me was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

If you leave Santorini and haven't had lunch here you really missed out on probably the best greek traditional kitchen. There are only a few courses on the menu which is usually a sign of the quality offered and Faros Market fits this stereotype perfectly. You can feel a connection to what you eat since everything they offer comes from their own garden like tomatoes, capers, olives and the goat cheese as they wander around in viewing distance from the terrasse with a beautiful oceanview. It is close to the lighthouse so if you plan on watching the sunset from there stop by and have a try of their local vine and food - you will not be dissapointed????

Here I found an amazing variety of jewelry and the most amazing service. Christina understood exactly what I was looking for and she showed me this incredible collection to choose from. Their friendliness, the variety of jewelry and the pricing are the things that make this shop a great place to spend some hard earned money. Definetely coming back next year for more!

Like most people, we meandered in to this shop. Lured in by the beautiful, shiny things, once I stepped in and got a closer look at what they had to offer I was hooked. Not only did they have high end items, there were beautiful, handmade, affordable items as well. I wanted something that would always remind me of Santorini, and I ended up getting TWO different pairs of earrings. I love them and each time I think of them, I think of Santorini, its beautiful scenery, the wonderful people, and the jewelry shop with the wonderful proprietor, George! So helpful, not pushy, and friendly friendly friendly. I recommend this shop to everyone - and I can't wait to go back!

We are a family business. We produce homemade candies using local flavors like sage, kitron, lemon, orange, mastic, ouzo, lime chili and many flavors for the young children. All the production takes place in front of the visitors who can have free taste of hot and fresh candies and can discover their favorite flavor.
Pick up extra jars, you will thank me. I am just finishing the last jar of candies. Even though it reads best before July 2019, it’s still hard, sweet and delicious. The best handmade hard candy I’ve had. It’s just delicious. I hope they will accommodate my request and ship to my home in Florida, USA.
