Baraki is a really lovely bar, drinks are cold and the cocktails extensive. The hosts Katerina and Costas are really friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and happy to chat. Near to other shops and restaurants so the teenagers can go for a wander and know where we are. Excellent addition to our holiday!

The three of us first went to Help with only a few days left in Malia, I wish we went there sooner because we spent every night thereafter! Christine makes the most lethal yet personal fishbowl concoctions (#NoPeachSchnappsPlease), she and Raluca really make you feel at home and are a great laugh! They were nice enough to give us loads of free shots! The DJ also ACTUALLY plays songs you request, which kept us going back! Also, we liked that there was no bathroom attendant demanding €2 to use it every time ???? would love to go back!

Found this perfect little bar not far from Our hotel on our first day and went every day thereafter! The staff were very attentive and made us feel so welcome!! They gave complimentary ice cream to my son every day! Would highly recommend the strawberry daiquiri - the best in the town! Can’t wait go return!

New sport cafe in Gouves.Just a few minutes from The Island hotel, the new sportsbar CENTRAL. Open from 12.00 till late. Coffees, cocktails, juices, milkshakes, beers, icecream and snacks are served all day. If you want to watch football or other sports, there are 3 big televisions with many channels. There is also a pool table to play some pool. Free WIFI is available.
It was great to find somewhere that didn't serve food and was a real pub! Perfect for watching sport with 3 TVs which could show different games at the one time. We were made very welcome by Christos the owner, his lovely partner Nikki and some of the regulars like Tom, Fiona & Bea! Loved it when everyone was given a shot on the house, the bell was rung and we all had to shout Yamas and knock them back. Nice touch. Even when Christos met us out walking he would shout 'Liverpool ' at us with a big friendly wave and a grin. Good staff, great beer, lovely place to enjoy an evening.

Great bar in the centre of piskopiano, a fabulous choice of drinks, and a gin selection that kept my husband happy. Eleni and Michalis are fabulous hosts, and went out of their way to make sure we were covid safe and could watch the F1 with a nice cold drink. Martin at the front of house is great fun and a great waiter, and the DJ played us some great tunes. A great bar to visit if you're in the area.

Swing Thing Cocktail Espresso Bar since 2014 insists on operating as an authentic bar for bar patrons, but also as an ideal all-day place for the strollers of the city center. At Arcolontos 13th Street, next to Theotokopoulos Park & vertically at August 25th Street, on one of the most famous pedestrians in Heraklion, we serve you daily delicious coffee, snacks & beverages. Swing Thing’s nights shine at exquisite musical choices, theme guest & parties, but also for the best classical and signature cocktails in the city. After all, it don’t mean a thing, if you ain’t visit Swing!
Just been in Crete for a few days and had the pleasure to stop in this beauty. Cocktails are amazing and the staff is great! Massive flavours in their signatures and perfect classics... possibly the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had.

we are the only Indie and Rock bar on the strip, we show all sports, Have a pool competitions and have an Idiots quiz twice aweek. Open from 3 in the afternoon till late at night and offer a range of cocktails and branded drinks. you might come in a stranger but you will leave as one of the family. Come down and join us for the fun and best music and a cold one for the road. :)
This bar is by far the best in Malia. It has a welcoming feel to it as soon as you walk in and it has the feel of your local just at home. They have a idiots quiz twice a week witch has a variety of different questions on different topics, no quiz has the same questions so you can go back for them all. The quiz also has shout-out rounds witch are loads of fun where you can win prises. The decoration is really good and you can tell the bar is run proudly. Gina, Bronwen and Deano are all brilliant people who don’t hesitate to spend time getting to know your name and a little bit about you which makes you feel at ease and they are easy to chat too and good listeners. Their is a variety of good drinks as well. The bar has a friendly feel to it and everyone canny help but mingling around and chatting to each other because everyone feels relaxed. I would recommend this bar to anyone who is in Crete and they definitily made my time in Malia that more better. Can’t wait to go back and see everyone. Much love, fiona x
