My wife and I were there on December 30. The trails were newly groomed and conditions were outstanding. Trails are marked very well and it is impossible to get lost. It is a beautiful setting and offers excellent skiing for both classic skiers and skaters. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. We can't wait to get back and ski there again. Thanks to Mr. Forbush and all of the volunteers who have made this a must destination for cross country skiers.

Sledheads of Frederic is located in beautiful downtown Frederic Michigan right on the snowmobile trail. All trails lead here from the surrounding areas like Grayling, Gaylord, Lovells, Starvation Lake, Houghton Lake, Lewiston and many more. Its a great ride to the Mackinaw Bridge from here as that is very popular for many riders. We do an online trail report everyday of the riding season on our website.

18 hole well manicured par 70 golf course, which includes a full-service clubhouse with restaurant and bar overlooking the 18 green and the AuSable river. The golf course, practice facilities and clubhouse always welcome the public and are open from April to October. The restaurant features fine dining on Friday nights during the summer.

We had a Blast. Most fun you can have for $10! It's run very well, efficient system to keep the fun going. No long waits. Highly recommend for any age.

Just hiked the Mason Tract trail that is called Thayer Loop - about 7.2 miles I believe. It was absolutely stunning scenery and a lovely, well-marked and maintained trail. However, we were very surprised to find hunters alive the way. We passed three groups of men with rifles. I questioned them and they said “it’s public lands.” We were both wearing bright colors so we carried on and made sure to shout when we heard gunshots. Very unnerving however. I would have expected to see a sign at the trailhead warning of hunting season or something.
