Bray promenade has been in existence for years. It's a super place to walk and the views of Bray head and the sea are amazing. Really wonderful place for a family to enjoy and the beach is stony but a good spot to swim. Recommended.

I was here in august and the weather was beautiful . We went into the visitor’s centre first and it’s so tranquil. Saint Kevins church is lovely but it’s closed during Covid. We went in and had coffee and brack. It’s delicious. Everywhere was very well equipped for Covid . Staff were excellent and it’s just a different experience but still great. We walked down to the grotto which I love. It’s very special. What a stunning place but it was so quiet.. sign of the terrible times.

The sun was shining as we set out from Laragh but within 15 minutes it has become cold and overcast as we ascended the road to the Gap. This route is one of only two routes crossing the Wicklow Mountains from East to West and luckily asphalted. Its barren in places, elsewhere you have various mountain vegetation and pasture, and sheep. Spectacular views in both sunshine and overcast conditions and great for photos when you get the opportunity to park the car for a few minutes. The road is not overly wide and yet you have to be aware of the occasional formula 1 driver and the tour buses whose drivers feel that they own the road. Shame on the litter louts including those responsible for election signage. Lovely drive of just over an hour, including stops.

Lovely 6.5 km walk from Blessington to Russborough park around the pollaphuca reservoir the main walkway is grit easily walkable and through the wood some path walking if you do the whole 6.5 km. we walked from the Avon ri car park (2euros) toBurgage castle and back we stopped for lunch enroute our dog enjoyed paddling in the lake. There is a caf3 at Avon ri.
