Fantastic place especially as we were total beginners (2 adults and 2 children -7&9). The horses were very relaxed. The scenery on the trek was stunning. Fred and Sabine expertly guided us through it all. 100% recommend.

Cabo Pino beach is excellent as they have a super boardwalk behind the ruins that runs forever. Nice to run on!

Bioparc Fuengirola champions a new model of park based on respect for nature and the preservation of natural species, a model which has already established itself as a flagship for Europe. What Bioparc Fuengirola represents is a different concept of park, a zoological park where animals live side-by-side, recreating their natural habitats, under the concept zoo-imersion. The park is home to more than 200 species, the most of them endangered or already have the risk to be endangered .Bioparc Fuengirola take them in programs to promote and guarantee the surviving of the specie. At the same time that Bioparc makes this job, visitors have the chance to discover such exclusives and uniques species like Sumatra Tiger, just there is 300 freedom specimen or Roloway monkeys, the only ones in Spain and ones of the 28 specimen that exist in captivity round the world That's why the park is one of the best parks in Europe and visit the Costa del Sol has the idea in itself of visiting this amazing park. Take breath inside of tropical forests and catch the chance to fall in love one more time with Costa del Sol with Bioparc Fuengirola.
It was recommended by TripAdvisor and for a very good reason: it is definitely a very nice zoo. Having seen already quite a number of zoo's, this one stands out for its very nice layout. We were there at 10 when it opens and spent a couple of hours. At opening it is nice and peaceful as it gets more busy later. This way it allows you to enjoy the animals and scenery even more.

This is a great hike but be forewarned, it is a fairly rough trail. I hiked from Mijas Ermita del Calvario using the red trail Cruz de la Mision then to the orange trail Rita Pico Mijas. It is a long slog 8 hours return and as I said the trail can be quite rough, that is, lots of rocks. But having said that the views are worth it!! The trails are well marked for the most part. Make sure you pick up a trail map mappa de sanderos in the Mijas Tourism Office. They are very helpful and knowledgeable!!!

Beautiful walk from Rincon, through the tunnels to La Cala. You can use the tunnels or follow the coastal route around the cliffs. It has been beautifully laid out with pathways to follow. When you come through to La Cala there is a park area with outdoor gym equipment-great place to get fit! There are bars and places to sit. We walked it one day and cycled another. Definitely worth the time.

We travelled here by bus. Get off at the train station and walk back through the many shops. Also, plenty of eating places as well as bars to relax. Enjoy...
