Copenhagen was once a Viking fishing settlement, and you can still find traces of the Norse explorers here. Visit reconstructed villages, the remains of a 1,000-year-old castle, and museums dedicated to the notorious raiders. Copenhagen also features a blend of modern architecture and historical artifacts such as the Round Tower observatory – a wonderful example of 17th-century architecture. Art galleries, narrow streets, canals, parks, and Baroque churches round out the city’s cultural attractions.

Bredgade Kunsthandel exhibits Danish and international contemporary art. We represent a selected group of as well young talents as established artists recognised by collectors and reviewers and well represented in museums and collections. We exhibit several different styles of art and medias. We focus on North Atlantic art, hyperrealism, street art and sculptured glass. Our guests can always expect exciting art experiences either with single artist or group exhibitions with a theme. Every artist has her or his unique way of creating reflections and recognitions. We convey valuable art. In 1999 Annegrethe Davis established the art gallery in its current structure. Our history backdates to the mid 30’s and we are probably one of Denmark’s first ever art dealers to exhibit. The art gallery is located in the art street of Copenhagen, Bredgade, in the Frederiksstaden district. Annegrethe Davis owns and manages the art gallery. She has studied art history and have a long experience.

The best part of Galleri Christoffer Egelund are the people working in it. They have so much knowledge on the exhibited artists and are always willing to have a chat. Definitely recommend attending an exhibition opening when you get a chance.

Ann Linnemann is an internationally highly regarded ceramic artist and her gallery represents her work, that of other well established ceramic artists and interesting up and coming artists from Denmark and around the world. The work is mostly art pieces with some 'functional' tableware. The quality of the work is superb and the prices are fair given the high standard of both craft and artistry. The gallery is a contemporary space within an old building that houses both gallery and artist's studio. Prices range from about £40 for a cup to considerably more for art pieces. It is located in the quiet but well connected Nyboder area of the city and a visit there will take you past the beautiful ochre coloured former Naval barracks built by Christian IV to accommodate members of the Royal Danish Navy and their families.
