A 12-foot statue in the Foxwoods Town Square that displays the history of the Pequot tribe.
There are lots of things to see and visit when at Foxwoods and although I miss the show that use to take place at this statue it is certainly beautiful when lit at night. Check it out and see for yourself.

It doesn't take long to tour this little site, but it's an emotional experience as well as being educational. In this day when it's national news when a few of our service men or women lose their lives overseas, it's astonishing to read about the staggering number of people who's sacrifice did so much to bring an end to World War Two. It will help you to appreciate the few veterans of that war who are still with us. I live just down the street, and I'm embarrassed that it took me a few years to get around to stopping by.

The picturesque Winchester Soldiers' Monument is considered unique among Connecticut's Civil War memorials. The 63" Gothic Revival tower with its bronze soldier vigilantly watching for invaders, also includes within its walls, the names of more than 300 soldiers who lived or enlisted from the town. The tower is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
