Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

A group of about 10 of us booked a 4 hour snowmobile tour, and we had an absolute blast!!! Our tour guide Brian was great, friendly, funny, and made us all feel safe. We got to ride on trails and also in open meadow areas which allowed us to practice our turns without fear. He also took us to some nice outlook areas where the views were beautiful and we all took pictures. The pricing is very fair, the booking process was simple, and the entire day was extremely fun! 10/10 recommend

We love to do the Locals Favorite trip and once again, it was amazing! 3 hours of riding through beautiful scenery, and a bit of free-riding before we stopped for a lunch break! Then another hour up a different trail to oversee some of the old mining area! It was snowing on us and our guide Brandon was making fresh tracks for us to follow! Great guide with lots of historical stories of the area! Then back to the lodge to turn in gear and have a cup of cocoa by the fireplace to warm up! See y'all again later in the season!

There is a lot to choose from: meadow play grounds, old mine sites, stage coach trails, mountain passes, scenic overlooks, old log cabins, or just sight seeing and playing in the snow. Grizzle-T Dog & Sled Works is a dog sledding tour business located in Steamboat Springs, CO. Family owned and operated by Iditarod Musher, Kris Hoffman and his wife Sara. In business since 1996, we offer both “Learn to Drive” dog sledding tours where we bring you out and teach you how to drive your own team (typically 2 people/sled with one starting as the driver and 1 being the passenger and then switching half way around the trail) or “Guide Driven” tours where we drive the sleds for you and you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the beautiful Colorado mountains at the speed of dog. Our 12.5mile backcountry trail is located on a private ranch just west of Steamboat. Our pristine (groomed) trail snakes through Colorado’s mountainous ranch country traversing over ridgelines, through canyons, open meadows, and everything in-between. Views include the Flat Tops Wilderness Area, Sleeping Giant, The Zirkles, The Steamboat Ski Area, the Valley and much more...with the occasional spotting of wildlife!
This is a wonderful experience. Learning to drive the sleds is so much fun and a unique experience. The countryside was over the top. The dogs love what they do and are so sweet. Everyone who works there is warm and friendly and extremely professional. Highly recommend. Do not even think twice about it. Go!
