Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

We took a tour with Telluride Outfitters. Roger was our driver. He was great. Black Bear is a one way pass, so we started out and went over Ophir pass and then the highway to Black Bear. The views are amazing. This is an off-road jeep ride that is rated as advanced. Once you reach the pass, you take a nice picture with the sign, if all the jeepers who are lined up with their jeeps to have their pictures taken let you cut in line - otherwise you may be there a while. The downward trip back into Telluride is very steep crossing small waterfalls etc.. Great view of Bridal Veil Falls - which you go right past. This an Imogen Pass are the 2 must do jeep rides in Telluride or Ouray.

Short for Lower Downtown, this 29-block section of trendy bars, restaurants and shops also contains preserved buildings from the city's original settlement.
Love the artsy vibe in LoDo. Dairy Block was one of my favorites and is such a fun part of the city to walk around in.

Glen Eyrie is the home of Colorado Springs founder, General William Palmer. Built in 1904, this beautiful castle offers guests a glimpse at the life of General Palmer. The tour not only covers the castle and the carriage house, but also the spectacular grounds around it as well. It’s all well worth the 2-3 hours you likely spend at Glen Eyrie. Two tours are offered daily at 11 am and 1 pm. The formal tour itself takes about 90 minutes. The castle also serves as an exquisite bed and breakfast as well.

Scenic walking area through lush forest.
Great hike along a river with various waterfalls with a big falls at the end. Get there kind of early as the parking lot at the end of a mainly 1 lane dirt road is not large. It does have a ranger and bathrooms. Bring your pack, snacks, lunch and water. Will do again when we get back here

We visited based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. Set in the old miner's hospital, it's three floors and so many exhibit rooms including a mine simulation in the basement. Don't miss the florescent minerals in the basement. The medical/dental exhibits are sufficiently creepy to make you grateful for modern day. Don't miss the link to the Hope Diamond. We spent about three hours there. One of the very best museums we have ever visited. A must see!!

This was a neat old town with old buildings on the main street lots of shops, restaurants and a 100 + year old Carnegie Library. The homes were old and unique. Very close to Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs..another nice quaint town to visit.

Old downtown area with many gift shops and places to eat. Even an old jailhouse for locking folks up for some good pictures. Very friendly shop owners and no pressure to buy anything. A very nice old-time soda fountain is a must stop for a taste.
