This tour was the highlight of our family vacation, we absolutely loved it!! Oscar has a gift of making every person feel included and helped our bi-lingual family feel comfortable by providing information in Spanish and English. The private car was extremely clean and the driver did an excellent job navigating the mountainous roads. The tour was filled with extremely interesting information, beautiful sights, kind Colombians, and delicious foods. 100% recommend!

You’ll be collected from your accommodation in and be driven to the base of this mountain on the eastern side of Bogota. Once here you’ll decide on which form of transport to take to the top of this sacred mountain; the teleferico (aerial tramway) or the funicular. Regardless of which way you choose, you are almost guaranteed fantastic sites on the way up, and of course, once you’re on the summit the panoramic view of the city is quite breathtaking. At the top, you’ll have plenty of time to wander through the markets and gift-shops full of hand-made souvenirs from different parts of the country. You’ll also explore the beautiful 17th century Monserrate Monastery with El Señor Caído (“The Fallen Lord”) shrine. Before making your way back down the hill to your waiting transportation, you'll be able to choose once again to take the teleferico (aerial tramway) or the funicular for the wonderful views.

Luis is my man in Medellin. Absolutely took great care of me. Went paragliding and rode ATVs. It was a fantastic time. Luis also helped me find a Covid-testing station for my flight home and helped me out with dinner reservations. I will absolutely be returning to Medellin and Luis will be the first to know when I do. His services are invaluable.

Santa fe de Antioquia or the ” mother city” is located at only one and a half hours ride through the scenic mountains landscapes of the western Andes Highlands from Medellin. The mother city was founded in 1541 on the western bank of the cauca rivera. It became the first capital of Antioquia. The clock stand still at 1826 , the year the government move to Medellin. Its colonial center remains intact, and today it looks very much like it did in the 18 and 19 century. The narrow streets are lined with white washed houses, many arranged around beautiful courtyards, and elaborately carved woodwork around the windows and doorways. It makes a great day trip away from Medellin. You can also taste the variety of fruits from the surrounding valley.

Daniel, the guide, is knowledgeable. He hosted a tour of Communa 13 using a historic and ethnographic lens to illustrate socioeconomic evolutions. It was a deep education of a district I would have otherwise never had the opportunity to become acquainted
You’ll be taken on a guided excursion, where you’ll encounter the most important historical locations within La Candelaria; such as buildings where the first plans of the revolution were written and traitors to the revolution were hung; the Gabriel García Márquez Cultural Center, the Plaza Chorro de Quevedo, Plazoleta del Rosario, Plaza de Santander, Plaza de Bolívar and the grand Church of Our Lady of Candelaria. You will ascend almost 2,000 ft higher than Bogotá and the summit of Monserrate. For this you'll have the choice of either the teleferico (aerial tramway) or the funicular to the top, where you’ll have time to explore the artisan markets, visit a beautiful 17th century monastery and enjoy some of the most spectacular panoramic views of Bogota. You’ll learn how this mountain was sacred to the indigenous Muiscas people for hundreds of years, how during the June solstice, the sun rises exactly behind Monserrate and how hundreds of pilgrims journey to this destination every year
