I highly recommend learning Spanish at Whee Institute. I had a great week in Bogotá! I improved my Spanish a lot in only five days. Now I feel better prepared to travel around Colombia. A big thank you to my teacher Natalia and to Lisa, Carolina, Camilo and all the other teachers and staff at Whee Institute for a warm welcome, varied and innovative Spanish classes and fun activities in the breaks and after school (Salsa classes and language exchange for example). If I go back to Bogotá I definitely will take more Spanish classes at Whee! ¡Muchas gracias!

Dance Free is my favorite place for Spanish-English language exchanges and dance classes. They have amazing teachers and staff who are super friendly and energetic. The language exchanges are so much fun! I love that I get to meet people from different parts of the world. Their Salsa and Bachata dance classes are the best. I’ve learned so many cool moves! I loved my time with SalsaPura. I took classes with Dalia and Juan Estaban, and they were AMAZING teachers. Without a doubt, the best private instructors I've had in the Colombia. In addition to teaching the moves, Dalia is very strict on the form, which helped a lot. The group classes are high energy and a lot of fun, and definitely a great way to meet folks that you'll probably see at the clubs at night. I would recommend SalsaPura to anybody going to Cali! Also, Tatiana is the best :)

I stayed in Medellin with my friends for a month and we wanted to do something fun, so we signed up for weekly classes. It was the highlight of our trip! Cata was incredibly accommodating to us, even arranging for additional instructors to assist us with the discrepancies between salsa experience in our group, and providing partners for us when we had unequal numbers. She was also very responsive via text or phone call. She teaches in English or Spanish and breaks the moves down in a way that is very easy to learn. We have taken salsa classes from several other schools and the consensus amongst all my friends is that Cata's are by far the best, and also very affordable! Cata also arranges practice nights both in the studio and at salsa clubs. My only regret is that I could not stay in Medellin longer to take more classes and will certainly go back if/when I return to Medellin!

Sebastian will teach you how to make some pieces by hand with the same techniques the indigenes of guane use to make their pottery before (the most primitive way to make pottery), and then you will try how to make some pieces on the wheel.

It was our first time doing pottery and it was an great experience. The class was all hands-on (including the use of the pottery wheel) and Sebastian was an excellent teacher - and very talented!

I’ve attended Spanish classes in several cities around Latin America over the years, but EHE ranks among the best. Professor Cristian and his team are absolutely amazing. Although I wasn’t at the school for long, I loved my classes and wished I could stay longer. During my time in Socorro I took private lessons at the school and feel like my Spanish really improved with Cristian’s teaching methods. The school is small, but the classrooms are great. Cristian also went above and beyond what his responsibilities were as a teacher - he took me on a town tour the day I arrived, invited me to join his family to partake in local festivities and explored the market with me on market day. He makes you feel very welcome. If you are looking to improve your Spanish level while staying in a charming Colombian town, then I would highly recommend EHE in Socorro.
