Things to do in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia: The Best Museums

January 29, 2022 Lean Nau

There are 2,000 years of history in Cologne, and visitors here will find everything from Roman towers to Gothic churches to fine examples of modern architecture. Cologne has a variety of museums, too—check out the Museum of Applied Art, the Museum Ludwig and, if you have a sweet tooth, the Chocolate Museum. Be forewarned, though—the gift shop at the latter will utterly ruin your diet.

Motorworld Koln can easily be reach via train train no. 5 from Koln Hbf or Cologne main train station. Get down at IKEA stop and walk a good 8 minutes from your right. The entry is free and not crowded on weekdays. The place is so clean including the car themed toilets. Its has nicely car themed restaurants too. It has two (2) sportscar showroom and service center. Right beside the building is the V8 Hotel which is awesomely car themed as well. The main highlights of building is the Michael Schumacher Private Collection. What I I say : I am totally speechless of the Schumi's collection especially all the F1 cars he drove and won historically on a global scale. I planned only to stay the max. of 3 hours but ended up I think of 5 hours because I took photos of all Schumi's collection plus keep staring of them all. I am a Schumi fan since his Benetton days.
