Hello, My wife & I were a part of this small group tour with another Brazilian family. Our guide was Micael Neto.He was very friendly & very approachable from the start of the tour.He drives well & is able to communicate his point in English. We personally preferred the Aveiro part to Coimbra. The Costa Nova beach & the light house were fantastic. The Moliserro cruise is an experience one should have.We had lunch & Avos Moles at the Market Square at Cafe Pixinho. The Coimbra tour was mainly a university, cathedral & the market square. Speaking personally about Micael a few incidents which stood out for me, a)He found a restaurant in Aveiro which serves vegeterian food for us. b)In Coimbra when the others were busy in the university he took us to the Botanical Garden & Cathedral. c)He helped us plan the rest of our trip in Porto & Lisbon with his suggestions. d)He even recommended places to have vegeterian food near our hotel. e)He ensured that each members personal interests were taken care off during the tour.He made it a point to understand our likes & dislikes.Eg.He made it a point to show me the storks nests & the Dragao stadium. The tour was well organised as any other but Micael was very good & would highly reccomend travelling with Micael to anybody in the future. Cheers, Dr.Vidhi & Harshit

An AMAZING experience with Isa who, from pick up outside our Airbnb, was so friendly, welcoming, warm and full of pertinent and interesting information which made the whole trip so worthwhile! The drive was comfortable with a mix of friendly and informative conversation up into the mountains and the valley with wonderful views the whole way. Once to the valley, WOW, the views were spectacular! The first winery had the views as well and a friendly guide, Marta, with DELICIOUS wines, olive oil and honey all grown/made on site. Hesitant to leave it was onto the river boat tour which was sooo relaxing and scenic. Then it was onto a local traditional restaurant that can also accommodate vegetarian/vegan (made up a wonderful pasta dish for the hubby off menu) that came with wine, fresh bread and local olive oil, main dish and dessert for an incredible price (because we were with the tour company) and it also had the views over the town, river and vineyards on the hillsides as well. The last winery was more focused on Ports with lots of info, more views, the fun Maria with Isa to give tons more info and great tastings with tasty snacks and lots of conversation and laughing. The way back to Porto was comfortable conversation as we’d definitely made a friend in Isa along with all the beauty, info and of course wine shared throughout the day. Have already been telling all our friends and family about this tour (and others from Cool Tours and especially Isa!!)! Unforgettable!!

This private day tour will take you to the Medieval capital of Portugal for more than one hundred years, also a place of students having one of the greatest universities of Portugal for over five hundred years. Coimbra being one of the most historical cities is a place of beautiful views and beautiful historical buildings on the hill side of the east bank of Mondego, a truly amazing and beautiful city, during the students season we can see the black clothes traditional from the Coimbra students, the republicas ( shared houses for students) and the coffees and bars filled with people. In the summer you can hear on the streets the sounds of the portuguese guitar together with the voices of the students singing the fado of Coimbra.

Sonja made my day in Sintra and other places she took me to. A wonderful experienced and outgoing person showed me much of her land and explained a lot. Friendly and formally, carefully and directly, wellknown to many, she knew how to open doors. I can only strongly recommand „igoportugal“. Wolfgang

Went on this tour last October, and had a wonderful experience! Silvia was our guide and she was so amazingly sweet and thoughtful. We travelled with a french couple and she literally explained everything in two languages: French and English. Not only is that extremely nice, I can only imagine the energy that takes :) The whole experience of driving through Douro, the wines, the people we spoke to and the delicious wines we could taste: would definitely recommend. Love, Dennis & Vera from the Netherlands

The Roman Empire had a tremendous weight in our culture and evidence of this can be found a little everywhere in the Sicó area. In this adventure we will discover the complex of Roman ruins of Conímbriga where you can contemplate the architectural capacity of the Roman people and the way they lived. From here we will head towards another "ex-libbris" of this region, the Casmilo Buracas, majestic geological formations that were once complexes of subterranean caves that are now exposed to the surface. Finally we will see remnants of a structure that was used to defend attacks such as the Castelo of the Germanello and another example of the genius and ingenuity of the Roman people, the Castellum de Alcabideque. All this and much more is what we will take to discover in this Adventure ...
Inclusions: Private transportation, Visit to the Monographic Museum and Roman Ruins of Conímbriga, Wine tasting and regional products, Follow-up by qualified technical guides throughout the course, Photos of the tour, Personal Accident and Liability Insurance
Exclusions: NOT included (restaurants available or picnic option)
We went with Aventuras Forte-s to the Serra de Brasfemes with the goal to find fossils. Not only we found them, but Sergio, who is so passionate about it, came with some rare samples to show us (and carried them just to educate us) ;-) But it is finally Fatima, our second tour guide, who found most of the fossils (and offered them to us). We could not hope for more, one guide with historical details and the other guide with sharp eyes to find plenty of them. This was a wonderful experience, that we can only recommend if you are in the Coimbra area. We cannot wait to do a new adventure with them in the near future. Thanks again.

Coimbra is a complete city because it brings together the ancient of the modern, the youth of the opposite of culture, religion and sport, in Coimbra nothing or almost nothing is missing. Always lively and active because the almost 30 thousand students who live in it do not let the pace of those who tend to fall asleep in the shadows of the famous churches slow down. The gastronomy is excellent with several typical dishes and regional sweets where the Santa Clara pastries stand out, this city has a rich historical, architectural and cultural heritage at its disposal, they are a precious common collection of Humanity, now recognized by UNESCO, Coimbra is land as a student but more than that, it is a land of traditions where the past and the future intersect, which have more charm at the time of the farewell. Held in our company, on this tour in a comfortable and 100% flexible way.
Inclusions: Private guide and accompaniment to all monuments, Private transportation, Air-conditioned vehicle, Pick up and drop off in the accommodation, Compulsory insurance, Clean and Safe Certificate
Exclusions: Tickets to monuments, Lunch
