Cluj-Napoca is the unofficial capital of Transylvania, and though you (probably) won’t find vampires here, you can explore castles, fortresses, botanical gardens, museums and parks. Cluj-Napoca has a vibrant arts scene that embraces both the traditional and the progressive. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy classical concerts, theatrical performances, puppet shows and music of every genre, from jazz to modern pop to electronica.

Andris/Andrew, the wildguide My name is Andris (Andrew in English). I like to think of myself as a Hungarian intellectual from Transylvania, who has lots of Szekler and a bit of Saxon blood coursing through his veins. As a resident of Cluj, I spend most of time in the mountains as a ski- or rock-climbing instructor, or simply as an enthusiastic mountaineer.
professional uber driver, amateur photographer, entertaining story teller, soon to be doctor. I'm a dreamer like john lennon.
Welcome to Transylvania! My name is Ilona and I am your private tour guide for Cluj and surroundings. As a keen traveler I lived in several countries around the world but always returned to my beloved Cluj. I became a tour guide out of conviction: first I studied history of arts and then my countless journeys through places and towns whose architecture and people I fell in love with, made me want to give Transylvania to the world. And I do. And when I do it, I put my mind and my soul into it.
