The Venissa Estate is situated on the island of Mazzorbo, which together with Torcello and Burano, forms an archipelago of nature, colours, art and flavours at the heart of Native Venice. Torcello is one of the most ancient and prosperous settlements in the Lagoon: here lies the renowned basilica of Saint Mary Assunta, founded in 639. Burano, the "island of lace", is an exceptional cultural jewel famous for its ancient crooked bell tower and marvellous coloured houses. Crossing the characteristic wooden footbridge, from which you are rewarded with a moving view of Venice, you reach the island of Mazzorbo, with its all conquering, intimate and touching atmosphere. The entire Estate, with a cultivated area of over two hectares, is entirely encircled by medieval walls. Making this location even more charming is the towering fourteenth century bell tower.
