Did a one-day trip to Heishan from Chongqing. Got on a van at Nanping bus station in the morning but I think the business station is about to be closed down and move to Chongqing Sigongli bus station instead. I arrived at Wansheng and caught a bus #113 in the bus station to get to the South Gate. At the ticket office, you have an option to pay for entrance ticket, cable car, sightseeing car (which save ~6km walk), and bus ticket back to the south gate or to the visitor center in the north gate. It took me around 2-3 hours inside the valley. The view is superb! You can also enjoy walking on the floating bridge between two cliffs. After that I got off at the north gate and catch a bus #106 back to the bus station in Wansheng (the bus runs until 6:40pm) and arrived safely at Chongqing Sigongli bus station. You can finish this place within one day from Chongqing.

People's Assembly Hall is one of the historic landmarks in Chongqing city and located opposite the Three Gorges Museum, the interior well maintained, and you need to pay about 10 元 if you want to see inside.

Fengdu Ghost City is a large complex of shrines, temples and monasteries located on Ming mountain in Fengdu County. Really beautiful and well worth a visit.

This area is actually beautiful in its own way. You have the museum on the one side and the Assembly hall on the other side and all the while you are surrounded by wonderful people trying to relax and soak up some culture which you do not see often in China.
