This was our first time to the Riding School and was booked as part of a holiday package. We are both experienced riders with different abilities and were given structured lessons to get the most out of our stay. Our instructor, Christine, was first class. She was experienced, professional, patient and understanding and gave us both the scope to develop our riding, with good tips to take back with us. The owner, Sandra, clearly had a wealth of horse riding experience and was very accommodating to our needs. The yard was very well run with a large number of horses to meet the needs of riders with differing abilities. We also went out on a couple of hacks to the local Delamere Forest which was spectacular in the rare Autumn sunshine. We will certainly return.

Established for over 40 years, we are a very friendly yard enjoy sharing our love of horses and riding! We offer horse riding in the beautiful Mellor countryside, located on the edge of the Peak District. We can cater for all ages from 8 upwards. We ride out every day with adult only rides available mid week. Ideal for experienced riders and those returning to riding who want to get back in the saddle. We have a variety of horses who will all go first, second or last. Please note, we do not offer ‘treks’ for novice riders and we do not offer riding lessons. All our riders need to be assessed as able to ride at all three paces.
Five star establishment which is immaculately clean, with well loved horses and friendly people to look after them and their riders. I rode here as a child and it has always been a special place in my mind and memories, but now after 35 years away, I came back to ride. It was lovely to see Anna (who I had been a stable girl with in my teens) and there she was all grown up, back coordinating the weekday rides and helping to bring the farm into its current polished and well organised place. 16 horses and ponies are well cared for and riders matched with them, so everyone has a great time. Weekday adult hacks are great, and the tracks and trails keep you off the roads and maximise the views and get you into the lovely countryside. Thanks to Joan for taking us out on a lovely ride. I look forward to soming back now I've found you again!

A warm welcome is assured all year around, closing only on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Shire horses were beautiful and so gentle, there were several young ones when we visited it was lovely to see them. We also saw red squirrels in a run and several other animals.

Have been taking my young daughter for a few weeks group classes now , she is really coming on an loves it every time I have read some negatives on here and I disagree completely Some people book and turn up , some people turn up and havnt booked , it’s a busy place , there are young children of all different standards , and the lady who checks everybody in has a few minutes to check them , find out if they attend to come the next session , then get the correct amount of ponies out for the children ! I have seen parents turn up with flip flops , pumps , other kids , they assume that they can sit on their phones and somebody will take their child around on a horse , why would you turn up to a beginners class and not think you would be leading your child around ????♂️ Some expectations people have for the pittance they charge The staff are lovely , they love the kids and they love the horses , these lessons form a great taste of riding , and if the children have the interest to progress it will stand them in good stead for private tuition Great place keep it up folks ????

We are a small family run riding centre. We offer some of the most beautiful and picturesque rides around Cheshire. Exploring the fantastic Beeston and Peckforton castle grounds and the Bickerton Hills, venturing onto the the sandstone trail with all their splendid views. We ride along the Bishop Bennetts way and many more of the famous Cheshire bridal paths. We cater for all riding abilities.
We had a wonderful day today on the ‘Coffee & Cake’ ride. After feeling a little apprehensive due to not riding for at least 12 years, I was immediately put at ease by this friendly, family run riding school. The horses were beautiful and very well behaved, the trek was relaxing, the countryside stunning, with the added bonus of cake on our return! We will definitely be returning to try the 2 hour sandstone trail ride. Highly recommend.
