It’s great visiting time there on June 21 evening. It’s my 2nd time visit and 1st was more than 10 years before. Entertainment company served wanton soups and green tea drink as complimentary. All arrangements were very nice especially Chengdu faces.

Despite being housed in an ageing building, the collection at the Sichuan Museum is world class! Exhibiting artifacts going back thousands of years, the museum showcases the cultures that developed locally, both before subjugation by Han Chinese and afterwards, when the people living in the area assimilated with Central Plains culture. The displays are very well done, which is not always the case with museums in China. For similar exhibits, check out the newer Chengdu Museum at Tianfu Square, which makes for a far more comfortable visit.

Newly opened in Nov 2012. Built by the same company that made the Jeju Teddy Bear Museum. Located in Wen Jiang District, a suburbs 45 minutes west of downtown Chengdu.
