The name "Chattanooga" comes from the Creek Indian word for "rock coming to a point." This refers to Lookout Mountain, one of the city's major attractions. Here visitors can explore extraordinary rock formations, see a roaring enclosed waterfall and travel by train to the top of the mountain for truly awesome vistas. Back down on the ground, don't miss the world's largest freshwater aquarium, the Tennessee Aquarium. History enthusiasts will love the city's museums dedicated to Civil War, Native American and 20th-century history. More than anything, Chattanooga is a scenic city, full of natural wonders waiting to be explored by foot, car, bike or train.

Great brewery spot with plenty of options and good prices. Make sure you visit on a weekday if you can for happy hour. They have a nice indoor set up and plenty of patio open air space. I really enjoyed their stouts and black lager, chatty night. They brew right in the space so you can see all then equipment. Worth a visit.

Presenting the best in standup comedy since 1985 the Comedy Catch is Chattanooga's Most Fun Night Out. In its history The Comedy Catch has hosted some of the biggest stars in comedy and is considered one of the best venues in the south. With seating for up to 230, full bar and kitchen, "The Catch" is perfect for a small gathering enjoying dinner and a drink with their laughs or a group/corporation hosting their employees, clients or customers. The "The BackStage Bar" which connects the showroom to East 14th Street has an intimate atmosphere and open air patio that is open for dinner (lunch in the spring of 2016).
Quick and efficient check in process after purchasing tickets at the window outside of the facility. We were sat on the right side balcony and still had an excellent view. Sound system was adequate and I could hear the comics clearly. Food was awesome. I highly recommend the patty melt. They had drink specials and we paid 11$ for a double bourbon. Not terrible. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and will view additional shows at this venue.

Gate 11 Distillery is a true micro-distillery located within the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo Terminal. Gate 11 provides its visitors with an array of experiences from tours of its custom-built still systems to Vodka, Gin and Whiskey served by the shot flight, cocktail or bottle.
Stopped here after dinner for drinks on a Friday night. There was a band playing with a good mix of people present to listen. We found a table and were waited on quickly. The menu has a great variety with vodka, whiskey, gin, and specialty cocktails. I had the horse's neck which was tasty and kept me satisfied the rest of the night. We got our drinks in to go cups so we could wonder around the rest of the property. Cool place! I'd definitely go back!
