Kingston Park is both a child and a senior-friendly park. It has limited shaded seating if needed, but lots of green space for spreading out a blanket, or your own portable seats. The water park is spectacular for children of all ages and is large enough so there is always safe play space. Highly recommended.

The BME Freedom Park is located on the site of the first BME Church in Canada. The park has been transformed into a green space for the education and enjoyment of Chatham-Kent residents and tourists who visit. The park's focal point is a bronze bust of Mary Ann Shadd Cary, sculpted by Artis Shreve Lane.

This gem in the city has been a place that I frequented as a kid and now with my kids. Thank you to the O’Neil family for keeping this as it has always been and thank you also to the Chatham Rotary club for the trail system and bridge. Owls, birds, fish and other wildlife can be seen regularly. You should check it out if you haven’t!
