Historic Charleston is bursting with Southern charm and hospitality. The city feels a bit like it’s suspended in time, thanks to its antebellum architecture and surrounding plantation landscapes. Take in incredible views of the Battery and the French Quarter as you stroll the Waterfront Park, then become inspired by the cultivated beauty of the gardens at Middleton Place. At night, try a ghost tour for an introduction to the spooky side of the city.

I wish every business had owner Rick, wife Angela and son Morgan's work ethic!! Words can't express how great they are to our family and their customers. We have been going to Kiawah Island for the past 35 years and had used two other bike rental companies until we found them. What an incredibly different experience it is to work with Carolina Bike and Beach! They are friendly, courteous and treat you like you are their top priority, and you are! Their equipment is always superior, clean and in great working condition. If you are looking for a company that truly cares about its customers, prices their rentals fairly and shows up when they say they will, call Rick and family, they will take great care of you.

No experience required. We provide the helmets & gas. You provide the FUN ! Parking is a Lot Easier Too. Arrive Relaxed and Ready To Explore, Caleb your Scooter Coordinator
What a fun way to spend a day! First off, communicating with Caleb (owner) was about as easy as it could be. I made my reservation online and had questions which were easily answered with a quick phone call. Pick up was a breeze. Paul gave us a crash course (not literally!) and made sure my wife was comfortable before setting us loose with the mopeds. There is a very quiet neighborhood right behind the shop where you can ride around and get comfortable if you need to. The experience with the mopeds themselves was great. Fun and easy to ride, even for someone with no experience. If you can ride a bike you can handle this. A couple things I would suggest if you aren't familiar with the area. Getting around Charleston is impossible without having to cross a bridge, or two or three. If you want to explore downtown or Mt. Pleasant/Isle of Palms area, I'd suggest having the scooter delivered or you'll be trying to cross a large bridge at 25-30 mph with traffic flying by you at 70 mph. That is not fun! We tried to avoid the crazy bridges and rode out to Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, and then out to Folly Beach. Easy after hours drop off if you aren't back by 7pm. Overall a great experience. Would recommend.
