The sapphire waters of Cephalonia are steeped with history. The large Greek island was home to Odysseus, the legendary king hailed in Homer’s The Odyssey. Fortunately, it won’t take you ten years to get there. Explore the enchanting caverns of the Drogarati caves, sail to Ithaca on a glass-bottomed boat or marvel at the ancient artifacts inside the Archaeological Museum of Argostoli, Cephalonia’s main town. Or just hide from it all at one of the island’s many private beach coves.

We got to Fteri Beach in September 2019 and parked our car right next to the goat farm. We walked around 40min to this wonderful beach where both the way and the way back of red and green points were marked. The path is also suitable for inexperienced hikers but has steep slopes and you should have sturdy shoes. So, if you‘re up for kind of an adventure, the beach is absolutely worth the walk. Otherwise, you can take the water taxi which is also absolutely worth the money.

A beach so spectacularly blue you have to pinch yourself hour after hour to check you are not dreaming. The water is immensely clear and the blueness goes on forever. It is a cove surrounded by luscious green mountains - with mountain goats for added Greek authenticity and the white sand is like silk upon the soles of Your feet. The waves are strong and the current powerful which makes it difficult to get out for a swim but it is immensely fun playing around in the waves on the vast shoreline. There are umbrellas and sun beds for a small fee of 3.50 each and a little beach bar with showers and toilets. I would recommend getting here before midday as the car park got quite busy. On the way down to the beach you must stop off at the viewpoint and film the panoramic views of the mountains meeting the ocean - I have never seen a view like it. Only A couple of warnings would be there are paragliders which land on the beach so be careful to stay out of there way and be careful with children playing in the sea without an adult. As I said the waves are powerful and will. Drag you under if you are not careful. I cannot recommend a beach to go to more highly than this for a perfect peaceful and fulfilling day on your travels.

To reach Kaminia Beach, you must head toward Ratzakli, on the way Katelios-Skala. You will see signs for this easily accessible beach.

Visited this beach at the end of October The season was almost over so the area was very quiet and peaceful The beach is spotlessly clean and the Costa Costa beach bar has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing day on the beach The sun beds are clean and comfortable There are changing rooms and the toilets are spotlessly clean The food and the service in the bar was second to none We liked it so much we taxied from Argostoli every day Thank you for looking after us

Beautiful beach with white pebbles & clear water
There s a real debate whether this is better than Myrtos beach...I surely enjoyed it better. Wide enough, there is space for everyone. It has several areas with sunbeds, 2 taverns and a coffee bar, water sports for rental. We had lunch at tavern ksouras (something like that) and it was one of the best meals we had during our stay This beach has small white pebbles which makes water shoes needed. It s great for snorkeling, with clear water and has a very good vibe...really relaxing.

North western tip of the island
Lovely narrow beach with shallow water, beautiful, idyllic views over the small island in the middle and the private blue church on the left side; clear blue water, space for parking and a nice taverna with fresh sea food - ideal for relaxing

A beach on the Andisamis Bay of Ionian sea, which you reach following the good road northeast of Sami, port of the ferry to Ithaca
Top notch beach with life guards waters sports and very good amenities everything from beanbag lounging areas to large doublebed loungers all set in a stunning backdrop of greenery.. Crystal clear water that drops of quickly so young kids need constant vigilance.. But very impressive and great restaurants tight to the beach with lounger service don't need to move a muscle just relax by your lounger... Almost paradise just add a few palm trees... Fabulous.. ????????
