This is an incredible architectural feat - we traveled over the bridge in a canal boat and then went back to bike on it.
One of those strange constructions that you can find in France. It's worth the visit because of: -its uniqueness; -it's located in a nice and quiet region; -it's well kept; -the possibility of a small stroll; -... And take the opportunity to shoot some nice photos.

I walked through the old city on Summer Solstice night, when street musicians of all kinds come out. The streets are generally quite clean, and the small streets and alleys slope down from the cathedral to the Loire, holding little surprises like sculptures, small parks, and timbered buildings. A soothing place to relax, and if you're in a non-soothing part, a more relaxed part is close by.

This famous staircase had Lucky Luke painted on the steps when we were there. The design is well seen from a distance & it is changed at times to other paintings like the Mona Lisa, etc. It is a beautiful staircase & garden. There is a statue of Denis Papin at the top. Lots of restaurants in this area + the Loire river is close by. Denis Papin was a physicist/ scientist who invented the the steam equipment led to the invention pressure cooker & steam engine.
