Very beautiful and peaceful place. Not an ordinary cemetery. Well worth the visit. You can take a peek inside the magnificent tombs and see very old and surprising coffins as well as pictures and other artifacts. Not to mention numerous cats. Pro tip: grab a tram 28 after visiting. It departs right outside the cemetery gates and this rout takes you to Alfama through picturesque districts. This route is the best for tourists thus it gets very crowded and here you have the 1st stop, so there's a good chance to sit and enjoy the whole route.
