The Chopin Centre in Szafarnia located in the Dobrzynska Land is based in the beautiful palace from the end of the 19th century. It was built in the place of the manor house belonging to Dziewanowski family, where Fryderyk Chopin spent his summer holidays in 1824 and 1825, described in humorous letters to parents called Szafarnia Courier. It is open for groups and individual tourists who can visit exhibitions about Chopin's life, works and learn more about his stay in Szafarnia. The Centre also offers guided tours, as well as educational courses about Chopin with live music, which are aimed at children, youth and adults. Besides exhibitions and tours, the Centre is a place of numerous cultural events, such as:concerts on Saturday's evenings, workshops for musicians, master classes and competitions e.g.The International F.Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth. The Centre is created to cultivate the memory of Chopin and to popularise his music to the wide audience.

A place full of charm. University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań was appointed in 1919. Its roots go back to 1611, when, under the royal privilege of Sigismund III Vasa, the Jesuit College was established as the first university in Poznań. It is the third largest university in Poland. Auditorium of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, is a neo-Renaissance building erected in 1905-1910 with the adjacent Collegium Minus on the north side . It fulfills many functions, it is above all the representative hall of the university, where students start and finish their studies. It also hosts classical music concerts and competitions, incl. Festival of H. Wieniawski. The architecture of this university is fascinating, I recommend everyone to find time and visit this university.

The Historic Rail Engine House is a very interesting site for anyone interested in History, Trains and even derelict places. Parts of the buildings were built around 1900. A few of the buildings were built by the Nazis during WW2. All of them worth seeing, and the site offers a tour with a very Polish speaking guide. The tour only happens in Polish, but the guide is very nice and welcoming.

Welcome to one of the newest and most advanced digital planetariums in Central Europe! Our main goal is to provide stunning shows about stars and cosmos, but we can also offer something for the admirers of Darwin's theory of natural selection. Shows take about 45-55 minutes each. If it features a fulldome projection of a movie (e.g. "The Black Holes"), it is concurrently available with alternative individual audio in English via wireless headphones. However, we do not provide live simultaneous translation of presenter's speeches - except special commercial shows.
We went to see one of the films for kids- before there was a 15 minutes introduction by a young researcher - very clear and adapted to age.
