Greece is back in force with Ammon Express. Reasonable prices ,excellent service and informative high quality guides. The trip to Meteora is long and requires outstanding driving skills. Dimitri displayed them together with vast knowledge, insight and healthy humor. The duration of the trip becomes really irrelevant in such pleasant company. Meteora is an international gem that is worth every effort. The trip was well planned in advance so that we could leisurely visit 3 monasteries, enjoy lunch and rest in between. Highly recommended. Corona wise, we felt safe all the way and the rules were enforced rigorously.

Had a 90 walk around and run down of the best bars, popped into a church, learnt a bit about a statue and a few other things. Lacking dates historical detail, this was a walking tour for people that maybe don’t want to much info, in retrospect it was a waste of money. And having done a walking tour in most places around the world I’ve visited it’s just not a great standard. The people were very lovely but that’s about the best I can say. The guide smelt bad and we got comments by passes by which was actually embarrassing.

Tour did meet our expectations, and to daul away without the guide it would be pretty but much less interesting. Our guide bob was easy going polite and interesting and he made our day. Hope to come back here with my family and stay longer, and for sure i will contact Balkan experience again.. They are very professional.

This is the only place where a visitor can experience unique finds you can see nowhere else in the world. The Vergina gold treasures and royal tombs are the most important archaeological discovery of the 20th century in Greece. The classical pebble mosaics of Pella are the only ones from the 4th century BC found in such a good condition in the ruined villas. Visit the two Macedonian kingdom capitals at your own pace, learn about this great ancient kingdom of Philip and Alexander and enjoy a traditional taverna lunch in between.

Efi Kalamboukidou went above and beyond in preparing for my short trip to Thessoloniki. She did research into some specific matters of personal interest, my family having left Thessoloniki after the Great Fire of 1917. With Eli I was able to retrace the neighborhoods of my Grandparets and ancestors. Not an easy task in a city where the Nazis were so efficient in destroying the jewish community.I would highly recommend her to any of my relatives and friends who are wise enough to travel to this hidden gem of a city in Greece..
if you want to see something different and also enrich your knowledge, this cave tour will excite you, as it is of anthropological and paleontological interest.

We booked this tour months in advance. We were then contacted by this company and told in order to go we will have to pay an additional $170 Euros in cash when we got there to pay for transportation. We agreed but asked that this tour be very informative about Alexander the Great and then they canceled the tour. So we never ended up going with this company. I guess they didn’t expect to give an informative tour.
