Continental Greece (Greek: Στερεά Ελλάδα, Stereá Elláda; formerly Χέρσος Ἑλλάς, Chérsos Ellás), colloquially known as Roúmeli (Ρούμελη), is a traditional geographic region of Greece. In English the area is usually called Central Greece, but the equivalent Greek term (Κεντρική Ελλάδα, Kentrikí Elláda) is more rarely used.

It was a great tour to the classical hotsots of Greece. Due to Corona on all visited sites were only a few tourists what I never had before. The hotels were at nice places in walking distance to the city center, so that we could enjoy Greece evening life easily. Our driver did a great job and had always interesting stories about ancient history and modern Greece to tell during our journey - thank you for this experience Yanis!

I am very late with my review as my trip was in September 2019, but it was so amazing I didn't want to miss sharing it with all of you. We were on a cruise and Athens was a port of call. We hired Dennis for 7 plus hours and together we designed a fantastic itinerary. He showed me where to go to purchase tickets ahead of time and all things were a go from the moment we got off the ship. We saw everything! Dennis was helpful, polite, flexible and we were so lucky to get him to show us around the great sights of Athens. Athens is a HUGE city. If you are not in town long please take my advice and hire Tours of Athens for a PRIVATE air conditioned tour. We had plenty of time in each place and it was very very hot so having a vehicle just waiting for us was a no brainer. We had 6 people total and I believe we each around 80 euros for the entire day. Well worth it. Time is money! Thank you Dennis and I am so sorry for the late review.

I had a terrific trip touring Mystras, Sparta, Delphi, Meteora, and Thermopylae with my guide Nikos! Nikos put together a custom itinerary with places in Greece that I had not yet visited. The highlight of my trip was visiting the clifftop monasteries at Meteora. We had marvelous weather for picture taking, and Nikos, knew where the best spots were. Hiking up several of the monasteries was also a unique experiences, and Nikos knew the best ones suitable for me. An AWESOME trip!!

On this tour we visit Delphi, considered the religious center of the ancient Greek world and the seat of Pythia, the greatest oracle. Located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo overlook the timeless beauty of the ancient landscape. People from all over Greece would travel to ask advice from Pythia, the oracle of Apollo. In fact, in some of the most important moments in history, her words had a massive effect on the course of events and, as such, is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Temple of Apollo is the center of an extensive archaeological site that includes the Treasuries of the Siphnians and the Athenians, a theater, and a stadium. You can also visit the museum, which houses the famous Delphic Charioteer and the statue of Antinous, the lover of Hadrian. We stop in the picturesque mountain resort of Arachova. There we will relax, enjoy the beautiful views, or have a coffee at one of the many cafés.

Inclusions: Transportation from and to your central hotel in Athens or Piraeus, Transportation from and to the cruise terminal of Piraeus port and ATHENS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Private tour (your party only), Air condition, Wi-Fi in vehicle, fuel surcharge and tolls, Professional English-speaking driver. Our Airbnb host suggested we could use Cat Taxis to transfer from the airport to the apartment. Terry was very helpful when I phoned to book and, on our arrival and transfer, gave so much information, hints and tips to help us make the most of our stay in Athens. We would not have received so much advice and information had we just booked a standard transfer with a holiday company. We were so impressed and grateful that we decided to use them again for our transfer back at the end of our holiday.

Your experience will be completed after visiting the archeological museum of Delphi and have lunch at a local restaurant. On the way back to Athens, you can spend some time at the picturesque town of Arachova and and visit the very well-preserved middle Byzantine period Monastery of Hosios Lucas, which is included on the UNESCO'S World Heritage List.
