This place has so much stuff inside. I spent 3 hours here and only did 1/2 the store. It’s not a typical flea market where each booth has its own vendor. You just tour each booth, grab what you like and pay at the register at the front of the store. Lots of actual Disney and Universal owned props and furniture, but pretty pricey. Great place to spend a few hours. Located off I4 and route 98.

Arcadia Seas

Reviewed By 925eviea - North Port, United States

There are a lot of antique shops on Oak Street, but Arcadia Seas really rises above the rest. While similar in square footage to many, it is open and airy. You can walk freely around the store without fear of accidentally knocking something over! However, it is specialized; don't expect to find a little of everything here. If you're looking for any kind of nautical theme, [and who in Florida isn't?] you'll find it here. Whether you're into ships, mermaids or fishing, high-quality antiques and replicas are in this lovely store. The owner, Bob, is friendly and personable. Now expanding! Coming soon is a new addition that will depict an authentic general store.

It was our first time to visit Mt. Dora and we wondered why there were so many cars everywhere on this weekend. The next morning I was searching for things to do and saw this show-listing so we headed over there about 11:30. We couldn't believe all the cars parked at the market and how massive this was. We first walked a good portion of the flea market and the buildings on that side. We didn't see much we 'needed' and then headed over to the antique side about 2:30. We enjoyed this side much more as we looking at so many interesting items. They have these cute little buildings that are open every weekend but we didn't have enough time to go in many of them. That probably was a good thing as we kept finding things to buy in this area! It turns out that we were there during an Extravaganza Weekend that only takes place three times a year. During these shows, they have far more vendors than every weekend.

The Arcadia Opera House

The Arcadia Opera House, built in 1906, is a museum and enormous antique shop. It houses an amazing collection of historical items and the theater is in near original condition. Several paranormal investigations have taken place there and the Opera House is a well know haunted location.

It was a Monday, so many of the antique stores were closed. We were fortunate to stumble on The Bizarre Bazaar located in The Opera House. We spent over an hour wandering in the various small shops. The owner of the building and his shop The Bizarre Bazaar was so helpful finding things for us and giving us good deals on our new treasures. Will certainly go back on our next visit.

I found some very desirable collectibles here! I would say this store is worth coming to again and again. We purchased a rattan glass topped table in excellent condition and took note that all the items for sale seem to be in top notch condition...if you collect knick-knacks or furniture it's worth a look around!
