We are going to this wonderful place a few times a year. We are taking groups, our tourists and at least a couple times annually we go by ourselves. Everything are excellent here - first of all - people. Friendly professional staff with a lot of knowledge and hospitality. Second, it is very beautiful place, nice to see, to visit, to watch the movie, to learn about new wines and known also. And the last but not least - wonderful wines. The largest wine producer in the country makes a lot of wine and spirits. It is a flagman winery in Israel. And the best wines by Barkan and Segal brands are wonderful. They are on the top world quality level. It is always a great pleasure to taste them.

Ruth Vineyard is a kosher boutique winery specialized in quality red wines of the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Malbec. Our wine is created with meticulous attention to all the little details: the grapes grown on selected plots, harvested and sorted by hand and the wine manufactured using the most advanced technologies. Ruth Vineyard was established in 2001 by Tal Maor in his native Kfar Ruth, one of the oldest moshavim of the Judean hills area. This region is sometimes nicknamed “The Israeli Tuscany” for its picturesque landscapes, as well as for its climate and soil favorable for grape growing. After thousands of years long tradition of wine making, the Judean hills still provide some of the finest Israeli wines to this day. We would love to host you at Ruth Vineyard for a special experience of flavors, smells and colors of our various wines, and also to learn a little about the processes of their production.

First thing we are told when we walk in is “we are sorry, we are out of the Rose”. It’s great news that they sold out and not my favorite. (So, personally I wasn’t upset.). We tasted 4 wonderful reds. And the walnuts that Nomi had for us made a wonderful compliment to the wine. We started with the Kessem 2014, which I thought was outstanding and wasn’t sure how you build up from there ... and then we had the Special Reserve 2013 —- WOW!!! As my son said “this would go well with meat”. Great full body!” You can tell why it’s a reserve. Next we had the Layam 2015 which would be great to have on a lazy afternoon. (Not as bold a wine as the Special Reserve.) ... and we ended the tasting with a 2015 Karka. All of the pours were full pours. - and we were hydrated with water. Check out their wine stoppers too!! (I had to get one of this too!)
