This was the first time my fiancé and I had been to a shooting range. We were inexperienced shooters and had a great time. We took our own guns and ammo, picked out our targets and rented the necessary safety gear. It was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon and it wasn’t too hard on the pocketbook either! We’ll be back!

Great training at the modern gunfighter class. Mike and his team are always keeping up with what is going on in society and putting those situations into the training. Making you think to solve problems and also to make mistakes to learn from. I learn something new every time and come away with another tool in my toolbox.

Been several times now, by myself and with my fiance for her to learn to shoot. Decided to write this because Sean and his team are running a great shop and I'm so impressed with the facility and service. As a former Marine Corps Infantry Officer having trained hundreds of Marines on firearms tactics (and seen the success of these tactics in Afghanistan), I can say that Range Time offers the best civilian firearms training solution for the price. Because you aren't paying 20-50 cents a bullet, you can practice good shooting fundamentals hundreds (or even thousands) of times in just an hour. Best of all, I can do real training. I can turn/move and shoot, draw from a holster/concealed, shoot behind barricades, and engage moving targets. In terms of actual training value, Range Time is night and day better than going to an indoor range and punching holes in a stationary target at 25 yards. Range Time's real firearms outfitted with laser systems function just like the real thing. I typically shoot the M4 and the Glock 19. They have shotguns, which is definitely cool, but just not my I've brought my fiance as well- she's a new shooter. We had a blast. She gained confidence on her firearm presentation and trigger pull, and the team at Range Time offered valuable instruction to her. The staff is super friendly and helpful- they really want a place for any level of shooters to come out and become more confident in their abilities. We wrapped up our date night at Range Time with some fun shooting zombie and getting over-run by a hoard of wild boar in a hunting sim. My fiance laughed the whole time as we blasted away. Great place. We used systems like these in the Marines, but the systems were nowhere near as accurate and realistic. Range Time is my go-to for training because I can save money and train in ways that is impossible at traditional ranges. Any real shooter will immediately see the benefit of this type of training!

Cowtown Range

Cowtown Range is a very unique training and shooting facility due to our picturesque, natural high desert setting and mountainous topography. The Cowtown Range property has numerous hills, cliffs and valleys and is situated a few miles south of Lake Pleasant dam adjacent to the Agua Fria River bed and surrounded by State and County lands. The terrain is a mixture of washes, open spaces and hills which is ideal for long-range precision shooting, camouflage, tracking, K-9 exercises, and advanced night vision exercises. None of these training missions are feasible on traditional flat shooting ranges. We also have numerous short range bays perfect for the whole family. Short bay targetry is not provided by the range. Shooters are responsible for their own ear and eye protection, which is required at all times while on the range.

My wife and I joined today after visiting the Gun Club with another married couple who are friends of ours and have been members for many years. This was our first time firing handguns. The sign-up process was quick and easy, all made possible by Conner ( a fellow Navy vet) who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. All in all, a great success. No one wounded, no one killed, no one screaming at us, an occasional round hitting a target. ;) Looking forward to going back soon.

Thsi is a great place to get away to go and unload, literally!!! I have friends whom live in Casa Grande and we go out to this range as often as possible. It has 3 sections to it and if I remember there is a police and sherrifs range right next door (in the desert) There usually is no range master present so you need to police yourself on safety. This also allows you to bring a variety of weapons that would not normally be alllowed because of those restrictions, and it is not uncommon to see people whith large numbers of weapons here. Every time I have gone there I have seen some guns I have ever seen before but the mojority of the people are very pleasant, because of this I have been allowed to fire these guns and become familiar with them. If I could remember names I would thank them but I dont. When you come here you will have a great time . .just make sure you do so responsibly!!

I am a retired military officer and have been a range safety officer on pistol ranges, rifle ranges, mortars and artillery, so I know a good operation when I see it. These guys are pros, and you do have to watch a brief safety video; the mix of shooters is crazy with obvious pros, amateurs, serious collectors shooting WW II machine guns, which we did, and hunters. Everyone seemed to obey the rules. The safety folks are vigilant. Great place to safely shoot. You do so for about twenty minutes and take a break. Targets are for sale and reasonable. I will be back.
