I happened to be in Arizona visiting my daughter in February 2020, while the Arizona Renaissance Festival was going on. I had never been to a Renaissance Festival, so my daughter and son-in-law took me. I was impressed with the grounds -- most of the buildings are permanent structures that are nicely painted and decorated. There are actual bathrooms, as opposed to port-a-potties. There are so many different shops, activities and events to choose from. I had never seen Jousting so we headed to the Jousting stands and watched a game. They divided the people in the stands into teams to cheer for their Jouster, making it interactive, exciting and interesting. They did a great job of explaining the sport to those of us unfamiliar with it. We ate, wandered the shops, checked out the many vendors and activities offered. My daughter had her palm read and her hair braided. It was a very fun-filled day and I really enjoyed it. I would visit again given the opportunity.
