Great hike. When combined with High on the Hog and Hog Heaven this may be my favorite in Sedona. The views are superb. There are few sharp dropoffs -- but they are only just enough to make it fun.

An intermediate-level hiking and biking trail stretches 2.6 miles from Schenebly Hill Road down to Oak Creek.
The trailhead for this hike is easy to reach from town; it's just up Schnebly Hill Rd which is off the AZ-179 roundabout right before the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping area. Beautiful views and not too difficult. Enjoy!

So many different trails to choose from - everyone welcome! There are short nature trails that are good for small kids & those with mobility issues up to 13+ miles. Bikes are ridden on this trail but only if you are really experienced - very loose, rocky soil. Be sure to take plenty of H2O, no matter the time of year. Also, don't bring the dog when it's above 90 degrees - too hot for them!

The Lost Dutchman state park was a great find on our visit to Scottsdale, we hiked the Treasure loop trail and then had a picnic lunch under one of the shaded tables. The hike is very exposed and obviously go early and take plenty of water. It rained a bit going down and we were glad we had poles as the rocks were slippery. We enjoyed the varied cactus on the trail but were hopeful to find wildflowers but understand the drought caused a poor flower year. There was a small fee to enter the park which we were glad to pay to keep these beautiful areas open
