Visiting Castlemaine and not enough time to get to local wineries? Castlemaine Central Wine Store offers a great range of locally produced wines from smaller vineyards within the immediate area, and around Victoria. We conduct wine tastings most Fridays from 4pm, showcasing a different winery each week. We also offer locally produced Ciders made from Harcourt apples and pears, and a range of small batch Craft Beers. We look forward to welcoming you during your visit to our beautiful Central Victoria. Located between Barker Street and Frederick Street, diagonally opposite the GPO and directly opposite the Public Conveniences in Lyttleton Street. We are less than 10 minutes walk from historic Castlemaine Railway Station.

A must visit when in Castlemaine. Steve has an excellent, eclectic range with fantastic deals on the wines he sells under his store label. There are great beers from craft labelled beers, some rare treats from local boutique and regional wineries, and a wide array of wine's of all persuasions to suit everybody's requirements. And to top it all off, he is a top bloke.

This means that the produce is fresh, out of the fields, and also customers know that the money they pay goes directly to the farmer. Castlemaine is a thriving regional city, easily accessible by car or train, about an hour's travel from Melbourne. The market sells local produce such as meat, fruit vegetables and other products from local and regional sources. The Castlemaine Farmers' Market is held regularly, depending on the circumstances.
