Come experience a little thrill and adventure, getting to see breathtaking views, and doing optional jumps on the way down, through a Jamaican jungle! The river is refreshing, and the views are once in a lifetime, it is a experience you won't regret, or soon forget!
The blue hole is a lot of fun especially if you are a thrill seeker and like to do cliff jumping, Omar was our tour guide he absolutely made me and my husband feel super special, he took many pictures along the way of our adventure, highly recommend Omar for your tour guide he is the best

Comprised of two sublime waterfalls that plunge more than 70 feet into crystal pools. Together they make up the island's highest waterfall.
This one has easy access - 5 to 10 minutes walk on a simple trail (you don't need a guide - although at entrance there are guys offering you this service). Once there, you can enjoy quite an unusual view. Unlike most falls, this one is very wide, a straight rock block with water pouting over its top. Quite picturesque, and quite easy. and you can have a swim in pool under it. A word of caution - on a rainy day path gets muddy and slippery, keep it in mind.

You know you need lots of vacation photos, so why not take them here? These three waterfalls showcase the natural beauty of the tropical landscape.
We parked the car at the end of the Carbet road where the trail to the third fall starts. Trekking with a 9yr and a 4yr-old kid took about an hour, but could have been done in say half an hour if we'd been adults alone. The trek through the tropical forest was very nice. Forget the slippers and opt for good walking shoes. The third fall is the lowest, but is well worth the visit, as the flow is substantial and falls straight down in the pool which gives free water massage for those who are courageous enough to cross the pond and get hundreds of liters of water poured down per second on top of you. I continued the trek with my 9yr-old for the second fall but turned around appx half-way since my kid was tired (and he wanted to go back to the inn where a well-chrorinated pool was waiting... Kids...) All in all, it's a great way to spend half a day, and don't forget your picnic.

Be sure to leap into the cool waters at the base of this 35-foot cascade.
La Mina falls is currently closed. I have been there once before a few years ago. It is probably one of the best waterfalls to visit in Puerto Rico because it is so easy to get to. There are other great waterfalls that I have visited in Puerto Rico but none of them have been as accessible as La Mina. I can't wait for it to reopen.

A long drive through the "real" country gives a wonderful experience and chance to appreciate the authentic beauty of Cuba away from the resorts. It is a long drive from the coast so be prepared to set aside a day of your trip to visit. That said, it is well worth the jeep ride down and offers some of the most scenic and breaktakingly beautiful views of the natural landscape. It really is out of this world. Take your swimming costumes along as the natural salt water pool and chance to go inside the waterfall is a highlight of this trip. An experience which appeals to adults and children alike and is one of the most family-friendly day trips out of Holguin. I felt that the lunch served in the restaurant was also one of the best meals I had during my time in Cuba, which was unexpected given we were a long way from the resorts. It was a peaceful and educational experience, which left me feeling I'd gained an insight into the true beauty of this country.

My second time at these falls. both times have been exhausting, but one can take their time. We moved fast as we knew what awaited us at the end. One of the best plunge pools in the world.

We visited on August 9th 2019. Amazing experience. We only did 12 falls because it didn’t rain enough to do all 27. Our Iguana Mama tour guide Carlos was super friendly and kind and our driver was super safe considering people in DR drive like absolute maniacs. On our way to the tour, Carlos told us about the great history of DR and that was very interesting and funny. During the falls tour, we had another guide with the national park, his name was also Carlos...2, he was also very friendly and fun, explaining us all security measures and guided us through the falls. The falls were absolutely breath taking, after a 45 minutes intense hike up the mountain, we had to jump in or slide into ponds and swim through limestone rocks. The water was crystal clear blue turquoise and warm, simply amazing. Back home we bought ourselves Shandals (beach shoes, hiking sandals) that was the best shoes to wear ever. After our tour, we had an included DR buffet lunch that was really good and all you can drink Rum and coke LOL. Everything was perfect, can’t wait to go back!!!

Dark View Falls are two spectacular waterfalls, one above the other, cascading down high cliff faces and plunging into natural pools. The waterfalls flow all year from a tributary of the Richmond River. A natural Bamboo bridge spans the tumbling river, luring you to the two majestic falls. Facilities at the site includes restrooms, gazebo, viewing platform and changing rooms.
We visited the waterfalls as part of an excursion on our cruise. Jason was our guide and was absolutely amazing. The waterfall didn’t disappoint and the bamboo bridge was perfectly safe....made you feel like your on a movie set. Rest rooms were clean and tidy. Lovely day out.

We went to reach falls in June of 2019 and loved it so much we returned in November 2019. This place is so beautiful. It is well maintained and well staffed. When you drive up the parking lot and roads have fresh asphalt and a great bathroom and changing room. You do pay $1500 Jamaican dollars to use this spot, but it is so worth it. From the main part of the falls you are able to walk both up the river and down the river quite a bit. The scenery is breathtaking and the water is crystal clear. There are cute little fish swimming in the basin of the main falls. Beware that the ground is rocky so if you have sensitive feet be sure to wear water shoes. It will also make it easier to get up and down the falls if you want to be more adventurous. The water was much higher and the falls rushing harder in June than in November. Also the water was much cooler in November. If you are in the eastern part of Jamaica then this is definitely worth the stop.
