In the centre where Reykjavik’s old heart beats there is a charming red house, once called Aberdeen. There, Kogga, one of Iceland’s most renowned ceramic artists, runs her studio and gallery. The artist warmly welcomes visitors to her gallery that displays unique art pieces hand crafted on the spot. Catch a glimpse of the kiln in the back, it ensures visitors to cool Iceland a very warm welcome indeed!
This is a beautiful shop that has unique designs that truly shows the artists talent and eye for design. Some things were out of my price range but I found a beautiful tiny vase that I just had to take home. Thanks for the friendly service too.

Changing you into an awesome viking and getting a cool portrait. Opening hours are from noon til 18:00 (can be flexible if booked in advance with opening hours). Best is to book a time on our homepage www.mink.is. The price are on our homepage. Inside you'll enter into a Viking setting where we you in a variety of handmade Viking costumes. And when you are all dressed up and ready for battle, then you'l pick your weapon of choice, and step in front of the camera. Located on Reykjavik main shopping street is MINK Viking Portrait. Entrance is on Smidjustigur, right around the corner on the 2nd floor. Parking garage is next door on Hverfisgata 20 (1 min walking from the studio).
My wife and I where on our honeymoon in Reykjavik and I wanted a few things to surprise her on the trip. I saw a link on facebook to the shop and had a few emails back and forth before booking (several weeks before). Good communication throughout. When we arrived and realised how close it was to everything in Reykjavik it was even better. We where welcomed in and within minutes looking like a king and queen from ancient times. The lady in the shop was amazing and dressed us up perfectly o look the part. We looked like something straight out of a TV show and the studio really helps get you in the right frame of mind. Couple this with dramatic Viking music and you're really in the mood for some pillaging!! The photos where amazing and whilst we are both camera shy we had a lot of fun posing and carrying various weapons to add to our attire. The finished product was beyond my expectation and has added to our whole experience of Iceland. Thanks alot Mink (and Carla) - Keep up the good work.

This pool is usually less busy than Sundhöll Reykjavíkur and Laugardalslaug. I recommend taking a dip in the cold one (4c-8c) than to the hottest one (42c), repeat a couple of times ????. As always, please remember to wash before entering the pools in Iceland ????.
