From flat-topped Table Mountain down to the blue waters of Table Bay, Cape Town is simply stunning, but the city doesn't thrive by its looks alone. Proudly multicultural, its flourishing arts, dining, and nightlife scenes are proof of this modern metropolis' creativity and innovative spirit.

Founded in 2012, Red Room Gallery is a pioneering art gallery upon which unique, contemporary African art is exposed to the greater international art market. The gallery seeks to source and display African works focusing primarily on black artists from across the continent, providing them with a means to market and profit from their talent and personal brand. The art on show is anything but the clichéd generic trinkets one finds on the side of the road, but alluring representations of the realities of African people. It is not African art through a Western lens, but African art seen through African eyes. Our work also prioritises artist development, as we provide opportunities for international exhibitions. Through this, we hope to expose the world to art that lives and breathes artistic life, and tells the stories of Africans both at war and at peace with their past. Red Room Gallery seeks to call and unite African artists to create a market for their stories yet unheard.
For any art lover visiting Cape Town, especially if interested in investment art, do take the time to visit Maik at his home based art gallery.I highly recommend it. It's always a memorable experience. The art collectionat Red Room is incredible! Amazing art pieces. One also has a unique view of the natural surrounds and mountains while appreciating the magnificent art works. Now that I've moved to Cape Town, I'll definitely be visiting Red Room more often and hopeful buy a few art works this year.

Where Cape Town meets for culinary delights and fine local designs. A vibrant community in the heart of Woodstock where talented people come together to share, collaborate and show off their heartfelt passions. The Old Biscuit Mill is home to dynamic office spaces, a range of workshops and designer stores, decadent restaurants, food stalls as well as an inspiring line-up of day and night-markets, festivals and productions. Come and explore the Old Biscuit Mill and meet some of South Africa’s most innovative and creative designers, artists, photographers and connoisseurs of fine taste and décor. Moreover, the Mill – as it’s affectionately known – houses some of the city’s most charming architecture and, since its revitalisation over 10 years ago, has secured its spot as one of Cape Town’s favourite destinations
We saw the rave reviews about the market and went relatively early on a Saturday to get the full experience. It was a good call to leave early as the parking situation is not great and we were lucky to find a space. The market itself is spilt into a foodie section and other goods (shoes, clothing, leather goods, etc.). The foodie bit is great, a real experience. You could find all the different foods you never knew you wanted to try. We had an excellent breakfast, which was so generous that it filled us up for almost the entire day. We got some ceramics and other bits and pieces. We liked it so much that we wanted to go back another day to have a look at the surrounding area without the hussle and bustle of a busy Saturday. If you can spend some time walk around the area, if you're lucky enough to live in South Africa definately go there to check out all the different interior shops. They are amazing and the prices seemed very fair too. It's an arty area with lots of street art and galleries. Most enjoyable

Welcome to South Africa's #1 dedicated Fine Art Photography Gallery. Situated in the trendy suburb of Green Point Cape Town. Images and collections consist of a unique selection of social documentary, landscape, wildlife and abstract prints as well as mixed media artworks and collectibles. The gallery exhibits Martin Osner’s private collection as well as a number of other exciting local fine art photographers.
We have been looking for art for our newly renovated apartment for a while now and were so happy to have stumbled upon Martin's gallery in De Waterkant. Not only did we obtain 2 magnificent pieces, but the personal service and expert advise were excellent. The various options we wanted were digitally mocked up for us to make the decision easier, our choices were furthermore installed within days of purchase - what a delight to come home and find your art perfectly installed on your walls. I would highly recommend this gallery.
